Think with Trossard, he needs to be playing more central.

No point of him replacing Martinelli and struggling with the same problems of always being up against 2 or 3 players

Replacing who? Ødegaard or Xhaka?

posted on 4/2/23

I suppose replacing Xhaka makes more sense, especially when we need goals

I think he meant directly behind the strikers, no?

Yes, he is a pointless option on the wings as there isn't an overlapping left back back so he will just be isolated

If we are chasing a game then yes replace xhaka.

Arteta just needs to be a bit more creative at times rather than like for like all the time

All of our midfielders werent up the races today. If that happened you can't win games. Really hope it was a one off today. The way we lost that game is worrying.

The real issue was the timings of the subs. Arteta tried to force it. I agree with J99, sometimes you need to know when to take a draw. If Partey was physically fine there was no need to sub him off. GM11 didn't have a particularly effective game, but was subbed off when he started to get on the ball more. There wasn't a need to force the subs that early on.

We concede a goal from a set piece. Can't see why that has anything to do with Partey being subbed. He was awful today.

Not really worried. We had a few half chances after they scored. Trossard ran and Ødegaard blazed it over, springs to mind. We just didn't contend with the physical aspect of the game.

I will be worried if Brentford walk away with something while copying the tactics of Newcastle and Everton

posted on 4/2/23

We looked leggy in the end which is worrying as well. There is absolute no excuse as we had a week off to prepare for this game mentally and physically.

posted on 4/2/23

Pitch was shiete. Dyche special prep obviously. Made our game a bit more difficult when the ball was bobbling around.

Like i said, not too worried, at the moment. Maybe if we suffer against Brentford then you see the start of a collapse.

If Spurs managed to beat City tomorrow nothing has really happened. Shouldnt depend on other teams though.

posted on 4/2/23

It's weird to say considering where we are in the league but Arteta teams have never been ones that create a lot, especially away from home.

Today's performance was a carbon copy of many games last season where we go a goal behind and then and then struggle to get a shot on target after

posted on 4/2/23

Hopefully Spurs beat Man City tomorrow. We then beat Brentford and Man City and go 8 points clear with a game in hand and we are in poll position.

We tend to go on winning runs after losing at goodison.

That's the spirit Tu. We go again.
