We had no problems scoring goals in the draws at Anfield, West Ham and Southampton. Thats where we lost the league. Not Yesterday.

Don't think GJ was anywhere near as good after his injury than before. Just in his physicality and all round play, it suffered a lot. Should be better again next season

He was rubbish yesterday but he wasn't alone in that

Agent Tross to blame.

Jesus maybe better next season. But you can't away from the fact that he is physically incapable of winning a long ball against CBs. Which is the reason why I assume City never started him consistently as a central striker.

I think we need 3 new signings, good centre back to play when Gabriel or Saliba are injured, midfielder like Rice, then of course a striker. I'm happy to keep Tomi and Tierney, obviously sell Holding and either Nketiah or Balogun. Then of course sell the likes of AMN, Pepe, Tavares and Lokonga. We shouldn't have renewed Elneny contract either to be honest.

He hasn't been great since his return. The issue is that we had some cohesion upfront with Martinelli, Saka and Trossard. That cohesion is now gone as well.

I thought before injury he was surprisingly good at that.
Of course he ain't Haaland but he could battle and win headers.

What is the point of KT in a team that so heavily relies on technical skill?

At the start of the season, Jesus did hold the ball very well; played on the ground with his back to goal. In fact, he's done that after WC as well. But opposing teams got wise to our tactics, so did what they used to do against Pep teams - sell out on pressing high. That's meant we've been playing longer balls in the air. That's where he has come unstuck imo.

If we are honest injuries have killed another season for us.

100% agree with Martin Keown here. Same goes for Neville.

Tim Stillman

There’s so much here that’s striking but the Saliba convo really sticks out. 93 point pace with Saliba, 63 point pace without. 0.7 goals conceded per game with Saliba, 2.0 goals conceded per game without. Saliba and Tomiyasu being injured in the same game always felt seismic

Wow, I know the impact of them missing was bad, especially Saliba. I didn't know it was this bad.
A decent back-up is indeed very necessary.

Caicedo looks some player too.

Him or Rice would be great, both would be amazing.
