Who from the injured players would actually come right back into the team?

A fit Partey starts, somewhere, I'd say.
Tomi as well

Jesus is a striker, whereas Trossard is a Jota/Firminho type player who can play anywhere in attacking midfield. But his unique ability is his finishing, which I think is actually very good. So we have two midfield players.
Havertz - MF player who is a good hold up striker.
Trossard - Creative MF player with good finishing.
Which is why they are combining so well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Again, I'd like to point out that 2 or so matches is not any good basis to be making these grand claims about the new magic formula we've found. West Ham and Burnley are 2 of the most out-of-form teams in the division. Trossard is also nothing like Firmino. Firmino was an outstanding link-up forward who could play with his back to goal, occupy defenders and bring Liverpool's wide forwards into play. Trossard is pretty lightweight in comparison, but strikes a good ball. 2 matches is not any basis to be making these claims.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's a fair point. There is always a little bit of instant analysis involved. The reason why I think this will continue is if you look at how the goals are being scored. The goals are not being conceded from mistakes. There is very little the opposition does wrong. When teams close down, Trossard frees up Ode around the box and vice versa. Look at Trossards heatmaps in the games he has played with Havertz and you can clearly see the difficulty the opposition is having containing their movement.
Jesus tries to be the focal point, whereas Trossard/Havertz continual movement posses very different problems for opposing teams.
J99 has a hard on for sheriff
Havertz is crap lads and we'd have won 8-0 if Jesus was playing instead of him.

Bit harsh, I prefer Tu Meke's analysis last week - hes just a bit rubbish at kicking the ball (or something along those lines)
Aye Jesus would be tackling everyone in midfield and challenging every header like he normally does.

God I hate when people say we only played the two out of form teams
We have won 5 games in a row quite comfortable. Among them one title competitor.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm not referring to our form. I'm referring to those claiming based on the evidence of the last 2 matches that Jesus shouldn't get back in the team (even though he started the earlier 2 or 3 matches in the 5 match run). You can't use 2 matches against 2 of the most out of form teams in the PL to claim Jesus shouldn't be in the team.

Would you drop Trossard now though?
Agreed its a small sample size but i dont think you change things regardless. No matter the oppo in the PL you dont win 6 and 5 nil away from home because of luck
Also Zinchenko will start when fit too. Kiwior has done well sticking to the basics, but I'm sure Arteta will bench him again once Zinchenko returns.

Against the bigger teams, yes I'd play Jesus over Trossard.
Also, I take it J99 doesn't want Zinny back in the team because he didn't play against West ham or Burnley 🤔

Could not care less because Trossard can drop deep and play a pass through for Saka/Marti runs!
So if Arteta wants to be safer at LB does not hurt our creativity.
Havertz first touch itself isn't bad. It's more his inability to sort his feet out in tight situations - to create that yard of space to shoot or pass. Just looks clumsy as fack. What he's doing well right now is "putting himself about", and working hard, and making good runs. From a technical perspective, he's still an immensely disappointing signing.

ESR if he can get a bit of stamina.
Believe it or not, the balance of this team is similar to the best days of Wenger where he had one runner (Henry - Marti), two creatives (Dennis/Pires - Trossard/Ode), One who could play a pass or score himself (Freddie - Saka)
Who was it that said play Jesus in CL and Havertz in PL? That could be the way forward.
Thats what I have been advocating for a while.
But not Havertz in striker position because his finishing is useless, but he can hold the ball up and occupy a CB when we move forward to play off him like we did with Giroud.
Apparently we're not interested in signing Toney anymore. Whilst I am fine with this, I am hoping this means we are in the market for a different type of striker and are not going to rely on our current options heading into next season, especially when Jesus is extremely unreliable and Nketiah is out of favour/not the required level.
The only one who is going straight back into the team when fully fit is Tomi for me. All the other would go to the bench and compete for their position.
