Up to him. I am sure we'll be happy to trigger an extension just for keeping the dressing room relaxed.

Jorgi isn’t leaving. We need to spend big money on a top CM to replace Partey anyway. And Elneny is basically a mascot. Do you think Sambi’s value is going to get any higher making a 5 min sub appearance every 20 games?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Arteta's job is to win trophies and not increase Sambi's value.
yea then go and get an elite midfielder to help him win trophies instead of relying on Sambi
3rd choice. They want Zubimendi to replace Partey.
Trying to get bats article to 100
Tierney
Partey
Tavares
Lokonga
Jorginho
Cedric
Nketiah
ESR
Nelson
A list of players that could all potentially leave in the summer. That's got to be at least 800k PW off the wage bill? Good for FFP.
If Sambi continues to improve, I think its worth saving £30m for someone like Dewsbury-Hall.
What makes you think ESR is leaving?
I said potentially. He just doesn't play enough for us, if he can't get in the pitch, we should sell him to a club that he can handle.
ESR is primary backup to Ode. What happens if he gets injured?
Is he? ESR usually plays on the left for arteta (although I disagree with that, ESR and saka should always play on the same side).
It's a shame about Partey but he's just far too injury prone .
Kane scores but Bayern lose again. Mourinho to Bayern would be fun
ESR is a bit fragile at the moment to usurp Havertz. But obviously Arteta thinks that he will eventually. Ode plays with Rice protecting him so he doesn't get so involved with defending and thats what Arteta indicated on his famous whiteboard when he shifted formations. I don't think anything has changed since.
I think arteta is fattening ESR up for a sale (or trying to, anyway). I think he's been doing the same with Eddie. It's when starts going overboard with praising them about how hard they work in training. Done it with Eddie since he got here, been doing it recently with ESR too.
I think he genuinely wanted to see if Eddie could genuinely reach the level he showed glimpses of
Dragged bats' wumticle to 100
Arteta does not a give a chit about doing that. Hasn't Emi and Ainsley been enough proof?
Arsenal gave Eddie a chance and are now willing to sell because he is not developing sitting on the bench. Nothing to do with esr.

I think he gave Eddie a chance and Eddie has shown repeatedly he can't be relied upon, so he's gonna get the door.
I think he's trying to give ESR the same chances, perhaps with more leeway cos his issues are down to injury rather than ability/mentality.

He gives a chit now, because the players we sell will affect how much he can spend.

Where did you get that from? Arsenal will be second year into CL at the end of this season. 3 years of CL means max PSR! Whats more the wages are only 51% of revenue.
I guess the way homegrown players are accounted for on the balance sheet means they're worth more than what they realistically get sold for?
I don't think Arteta is too bothered about that though.
