Mateta scores again, Palace on fire!
101 goals conceded Sheff Utds should be banned from promotion for 10 years.
Interesting that Newcastle are not talking firing Eddie Howe, but more about selling big stars. Doesn't sound like Sauds are too interested in them anymore.
Howe hadn't done too bad though
The idea is to build on what got you into the CL positions. Eddie Howe has gone backwards. Do you think Pep would have fallen over?
They overachieved last season plus he's had a lot of injuries
I never understand what 'overachieved' means. Surely you are where you finish in the league. You can fluke a game or two but over 38 games?
I mean that from his clubs perspective, they were not suppose to get top 4, they overachieved in their expectations, however this season they have had a lot of injuries which I think would buy him time.
Burnley relegated at last
Why though? Surely you want to find a manager capable of qualifying for the CL consistently first and then build a team around him? All clubs have injuries, so that really can't be used as an excuse. The skill of a good manager is to not let that sink you. Arsenal weren't expected to challenge City last season, and they are doing so again this season. Proves Arteta is a good manager.

Sherwood jiiizing over Van de Ven and calling him Spurs' player of the season. Sickeningly overrated player. Seen them at least a dozen times this season and Romero has been better than him. How is it that a team that have conceded 59 goals get this much hype for a defender?

Not to disagree but I’m sure he was injured for a large chunk. Romero comes across as a bit crap at times but he’s the only legitimate winner in that team and should be moving on if he’s still serious.
Man Villa are really gonna bottle top 4. Lose tomorrow, and Spurs will be extra perky midweek.

If Arsenal had the injuries Newcastle have had this season (the worst hit team in the league - even worse than Chelsea and Man U who have whined endlessly), we'd have struggled to finish top 4. Saying "every team has injuries" is BS. I remember when players like RVP and even Rosicky would come back from their seasonal long absences and give the team a big lift.
It's Aston Villa or Man Utd, not both

Their defensive record has been worse since he returned from his injury around January. He's been mostly fit since then and seems to have most of teh banter defensive moments I've seen from Spurs defenders.

I'd rather be in Villa's position than Spurs. Even if Villa lose their remaining 2 games, you'd still bet on them to qualify over Spurs.
