Many players had the wobbles today incl Partey. But we did setup deep. The CBs didn't push up as they normally do and Rice was not pressing. Arteta always says this after a Moyes type setup.
Why does Partey keep starting over Jorginho? Worried that we may be planning on keeping him.

Fair play that was a big winwhat I have noticed is that Arteta has been a bit more pragmatic is certain games this season? Obviously had some great attacking performances and loads of goals but when he's needed to he's managed to ay it safe even when not firing on all cylinders, the players are a year more experienced, your DCs have been solid and Rice has helped tighten it up as well.
Whatever happens now the realisation that this is a developed team must hit home?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Just heard Arteta in an interview. He said that it wasnt the plan to play so deep in our half.
We need to learn about these kind of games and manage them a bit better than we done.
It was vital to win this to keep the dream alive. We did that in a professional matter. Nothing more but nothing less.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The very fact that Arteta said that and you played as you did but STILL won shows me a difference from last couple of seasons for Arsenal? Very solid at the back and even although Utd had a fair bit of the ball chances were still slim for them, I do kinda feel if you could get a top level striker you'd move on even further, lots to look forward to surely as an Arsenal fan?
Surely not going to keep both partey and Jorginho? I assumed partey would fack off now Jorginho has signed
At the moment we need a young top Dm who can pass his way out of a press first. Partey showed all his age today.

We may need a Ludo Miklosko performance from Areola or, god forbid, Fabianksi on Sunday.
Pretty sure that was the last time a team at the top on the last day in an active title race lost - but Ludo made sure they still won the title!
Leverkusen 2 up and been playing against 10 men since the 15th minute.
Can you imagine if they draw to spurs and win it on goal difference by destroying west ham

Yeh fair point, I remember when Man Utd were winning loads they still bought upgrades, with you though at least you won't need a helluva lot more, a couple of smart buys and you'll not be far away? And let's not forget, this season is still up for grabs going into the last game

City are big hurdle to get over. Trossard and Havertz have done a huge amount to keep the race alive. Jesus, Martinelli and Odegaard have been way down on their goal output.
It will be interesting to see where Arteta upgrades. At the moment the only starting obvious starting position available is DM.
Trossard is the best value for money signing we have made in a long time. Top class player.

The other two being down on goal output is certainly bang on, although Odegaard has scored less from what I've seen, and I appreciate you will have seen more of him, he's been pivotal to your style? Really matured and became a player who makes you tick?
Odegaard is in my view the most important player in this Arsenal team.

Odegaard rotates with Havertz up front so he gets into a lot of productive positions like Bergkamp used to. He hasn't been as productive this season as last season. But you'd expect a few ups and downs from someone his age. Much more to come from him imo
