The way Cesc left is what I am angry about. For me he lost all the respect and admiration I had for him. Since then I never regard him as a Gooner.

RVP is only a massive lying cunnnt.

Maybe it's my Arsenal bias, but I don't see Cesc as a Chelsea man. Barca, yeah. Arsenal?

RvP is weird though. Seem to recall him not being overly popular at Feyenoord before he joined us. So is he a Feyenoord man? Certainly don't consider him a United man. But is he a Gooner?

I'd like to think so, but don't know really.

Cesc used to refer to Chelsea as ‘we’ all the time when he got into punditry. Idk if he does it anymore because I rarely watch pre/post match coverage

Wenger was to blame. He had first refusal on Cesc when he was leaving Barca but told him to fak off cos he was hurt how Cesc left him. Should gave manned up and taken him back. Loads of players leave for other clubs then return if it doesn't work out

To be fair in 2014 we had Ozil, Ramsey, Cazorla, Wilshere and Rosicky as our creative midfielders so you can understand Wenger not bringing him back. I was very annoyed at the time though.

And if I judge on Cesc Chelsea career and how he played for them you have to say that Wenger was probably right.

Both had similar goals to game ratio. But ade had waaay worse squads to play with compared to RVP
----------------------------------------------------------------------

What? Van persies last season was a fecking tragic squad, we'd have genuinely finished 8th that year without him.

You mentioned Alex songs passing, just have a look at some of the goals from song's assists, they were incredible strikes from van persie usually.

Van persie also never benefitted from having Fabregas being fit at the same time as him.

GT just trying to compensate for the massive meltdown he had when Cesc signed for Chelsea

Don't forget that in the same season he came to the Emirates and tried to get a pen by diving

Not a legend, a facking rat

Of course he was a better footballer. But Adebayor had a far more consistent career at Arsenal and was more valuable overall
----------------------------------------------------------------------

He really wasn't

posted on 5/6/24

Adebayors first 18months were ok as a support striker

Then a useless season

Then a GOAT season

Then a useless season

Then he facked off to a rival and tried to start a riot at the Etihad

Yes, admit that his move hurt at that time.

Dont think he was a really success performance wise at Chelsea.

Tbf I think that was because most of his old teammates were still playing for Chelsea at the time he was doing said punditry.

He's still a rat though, genuinely don't understand how some arsenal fans still love him.

Cescs pass for schurrle against Burnley genuinely had me considering whether I should end it all. One of the best assists I've ever seen

Not really, Fabregas was a key player for them when they won the league in 2015

His best performances were are arsenal but he won stuff everywhere else

If he had stayed, along with others, they'd have won with us and been legends but we couldn't keep them

Sadly I doubt they regret it

Really? Best assist I have watched was Odegaard into Havertz. That was world class.

It really wasn't even a GOAT season. He did improve a lot, but 6 of his 30 goals came against derby FFS. As I said, he really should have had 50 goals that year, Fabregas was a creative dynamo.

Cesc was such a fantastic player, we still haven’t got anyone who can replicate those passes. Tbh in the PL eta, KdB is the only one who is at that level for vision and execution. But Ode is a better leader, and hopefully will be a better player than Cesc

Seriously, watch that schurrle goal.

It was at a time when we were clearly starting to decline in the league, Fabregas had just joined them, everything was miserable for us.

But yay, Odegaard did a great pass 10 years later

Even Paddy V came back to the league with man city and won the FA cup with them when we were going through that trophy drought really was a miserable few years after moving from Highbury.

All our best players left to win trophies elsewhere, 3 leg breaks in 4 years, couldn't defend for shiiiit, peak banter era, bottled so many games like Newcastle and Birmingham etc.
