Mikel Arteta hired a team of professional pickpockets whilst at dinner with Arsenal players
They went round tables pinching phones, wallets etc. At the end of the meal, Arteta asked players to empty their pockets, with several missing key items!
This was to teach the squad the importance of being 'alert and prepared' at all times, reports @TheAthleticFC.

Aye. Mangement consultant.

Lol yep
Has Calafiori played for us yet?
next he'll have people sneak into their rooms to steal their socks
Jamaica with a shocking 4x100
Jamaica hasn't done well in the running
GB need to find a 4th black runner, never gonna win it with a white in the team.

They both have release clauses dont they? or was it just Zubi?
They have already replaced Merino with Sucic. Doubt Zubi going will affect Merino leaving. Teams at that level have to do rebuilds after a good season.
Merino feels like a bit of a Ceballos from what I've seen of him, albeit thats not much. Not a bad little player but probably not going to make waves in the PL?
He's excellent in the air apparently
More of a steady hand, older head and probably someone Arteta thinks will be good for the dressing room.
The sort of player who, when there is a chance to blood Nwaneri in a dead rubber or shiiity little cup, is a safer option.

Ceballos was pretty useless. Merino is a great duel winner and a very capable link player.

He's Madrid's 9th choice midfielder or something
Ceballos netting against Chelsea the other day. Generational talent
The problem I see with Merino is that he doesn't have the vision or passing needed of a no.8. So he is just a box to box midfielder.
Now it would explain why we haven't gone back for Zubimendi if Rice is going back to no.6.
Jorgy probably the concern. Brilliant season but legs were going towards the end of it. So hopefully Merino if we get him is an upgrade/replacement there
