Sterling coming in for stick but thought he wasn't actually that bad yesterday.

He offers things that Martinelli doesn't have but Martinelli is by far the better finisher

Would like to see Sterling in a Trossard type role around Havertz against teams who camp in their penalty area. He is extremely skilful in very tight spaces. He is not one to carry the ball over longer distances anymore, so playing him Martinelli's position won't get the best out of him.

Sterling has more than 100 Premier League goals. Martinelli needs to learn how to finish from Sterling, not the other way round.

Still can't believe how poor Jesus has been. He was decent in 2022/2023 but has been pretty poor ever since barring the champions league last season. Yes he's been a bit unfortunate with injuries but still would have expected a bit better.

To be fair to him, Jesus and Havertz are very similar players. They don't really gel. We really need to play one or the other. Havertz obviously offers so much more so I expect Jesus to move on. The problem will be finding someone to sit behind Havertz.

Tbf I thought Arteta got his subs spot on yesterday.

3:1 up in the closing minutes, almost every manager is bringing on a defender.

Besides, MLS came on late against PSG on Tuesday night. Isn’t that more a show of faith than coming on in the CL with a similar scoreline, than against bottom of the league Southampton, less than 4 days later?
