Why didn't Brighton play this high line v us
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's their new manager. Our game was too soon. He has his teeth into them now.

So Chelsea couldn't beat 10 men Forest? So Dennis Bergkamp didn't score against a manager who knows how to organise a team?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Lol....why are you so butthurt about Palmer?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't like it when our greats are compared willy nilly.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

But you compare Saka to Iniesta (don't even find them similar at all). So why indignant at Palmer being compared to Bergkamp or whoever? Guy has probably been the best player in the league this season. And is fantastic to watch - with his supreme confidence to try anything.

Defender who came in for an injured defender also comes off for Brighton. Not sure how much depth they have in that position. Great start by Spurs though.

I compare Saka's style to that of Iniesta to explain how he pauses the game to recycle the ball which English players are not technically used to. Someone called it 'La Pausa' on twitter which is apt. Not the same thing.
Theo compared him directly. Palmer is a good player but I agree with Micah Richards that he was an unknown last season and its quite a different thing when managers will start preparing for him.

Not sure. Saka been excellent as well and what he produces in games where he is "quiet"

Jack Grealish in particular, plus Foden and Bellingham do that. English footballers play differently these days. Iniesta could go weeks without someone getting the ball away from his feet - such was his close control and spatial awareness. Saka can be pretty sloppy. They're not the same type of player, so I have no idea why you're obsessed with making that comparison.

Managers are supposed to be preparing for Palmer after his breakthrough last season, but he seems to have stepped it up even more this season, so their prep doesn't seem to be of much use. What has surprised me about Palmer isn't the goals or assists, but I'm surprised at how deft in his link-up play and how technically strong he is. Dude is a revelation.

Would be a typical jammy Spurs goal.
