I thought he rolled his ankle. Just watching the replay again and his knee bends all wrong 😑

It's time to admit there's a correlation between what we ask our full backs to do and the amount of injuries they get. White was the only one who could stay fit, but even he is know to play through injury
posted 1 day, 23 hours ago
Or we just sign injury prone fullbacks
Kiwior never seems to get injured
posted 1 day, 23 hours ago
But it doesnt look a severe injury at least as he was able to leave the pitch alone without help.

just put Jesus at fullback

Tomi, timber, Calafiori weren't injury prone were they? Not sure about zinchenko but he was a squad player at city anyway
posted 1 day, 23 hours ago
I dunno, Cala seems to play a game that leads itself to injury. Tomi just made of glass. Timber had to play more than wanted after a long layoff.
Obviously there's a connection but I do think it's still uncertain if the role is why.

Also, we don't ask Kiwior to invert

One understated thing is just how boring we've been to watch this season. We're not even playing with the fluidity of 2 seasons ago, nevermind last season. It's strange to have spent so much money in the transfer market and look so thin in the attacking areas with a few injuries.

Good to see Tierney back (in the stands) tonight.
If only because I’d completely forgotten about him (again).

Dont think it is an ACL because he could gone off the pitch without help and not limping.
Physio Scout | Football Injury Analysis
@physioscout
Riccardo Calafiori went off in the second half for Arsenal with a knee injury.
Non-contact injury here which forces knee into valgus, but more of a slide injury rather than a direction change + pivot action.
This would be more indicative of an MCL injury, rather than an ACL injury. But integrity of the ACL still a MINOR concern.
Physio was seen performing a valgus stress test too - which tests the structure of the MCL. Scans are necessary, but let's hope it's only a minor/moderate MCL sprain.
Potential Recovery Times:
Grade 1: 1-2 weeks
Grade 2: 3-6 weeks
Grade 3: 6-10 weeks
Again, scans will be necessary to confirm the severity. But hope is that it's only a grade 1 or 2 here as he got back up and played on.
