How has Brighton not scored again ffs

They always do this. Play well and do something stupid to let the other team back in.

It was obvious last season what our priorities should have been in the summer. Saka was the only one to improve his goal tally. Arteta accepted Havertz as the deep no.9 who will get you 10-15 goals a season no more. Marti/Odegaard did not improve from the no. of goals the season before. So you needed a decision on Martinelli or you needed a stop striker. They chickened out on both thinking Merino would solve all their issues with goals.

Liverpool almost scored. They will score soon at this rate.

We did win 16 of our last 18 games last season. Whether we can actually do that again I'm not so sure but after we lost back to back to West Ham and Fulham last season I questioned whether we would get to 80 points and we were 1 away from getting to 90!

When did I say all our problems are down to Odegaard being out. He is a huge miss obviously . You on the other hand said we haven't missed him and Nwaneri was the replacement.

Nope. I said we have 'coped' without Odegaard. We couldn't manage one game without Saka. I wanted us to sign a striker in the summer.

It was obvious that we havent got the same firepower as Liverpool and City upfront. We are making a meal out of scoring.

Liverpool not playing better than us but they have the ability to score out of nothing on a regular basis.

It's not helped by Arteta playing a counter-attack formation that pretty much neutered both Auba and Lacazette.

He isnt a defensive manager but we come from an era we were good upfront but our defense was terrible.

To win titles you have to make sure you defend well first. But yeah we are too reliant on Saka doing the magic.

We scored 91 goals last year, how can you call him defensive?

yes. Did say we left the negotiations too early. Napoli were desperate to get rid at the end and we could have had a bargain. Still could in Jan but I think they will go back for Sesko.

He wasnt needed in the box because we hadnt the ball in their box.

Told ya. When he plays with Trossard he drops into 10. Trossard though doesn't stay in position and goes hunting for the ball.

We needed an Isak.

TNT Sports to blame.

He'll cost too much. We needed to buy Guimares, but he was priced out of our range. Arteta said there will be no half-hearted buys, but what was Merino?
