Merino just looks completely average so far. Needs time obviously, was injured straight away.

I thought they were making mistake and not going for Fabian Ruiz instead. Merino has shown very little creativity so far.

As I was saying earlier today. I can't see Merino backing up Odegaard. He just doesn't have that vision or passing range.

imo Olmo would be ideal. He can play wide or in no.8 role. And it also means we give Martinelli one more season.

I think Ruiz makes a better plan B than Merino tbh!

But City scored a goal

Rice couldn't have an easier chance to score.

Up from the moment they scored the goal they had us on toast. They won every single duel especially in midfield. We played on a pace that was comfortable for them. They werent never in trouble to concede.

We never urge them to make mistake.
