To explain; if I’m watching, I dunno… Ipswich vs Brentford, and there’s a contentious issue, and I don’t agree with the referee’s decision I might feel slightly aggrieved for the wronged side.

However, as a neutral I’m probably not going to be bothered enough to even think about it again at FT, let alone go online to debate it with strangers for hours on end.

People really need to think more.
