Ukraine won 1:0 in Kiev, right?

2:0?!

Oh, okay.

Yeah France are already out then.

I can see Ukraine scoring so France need 4 goals

I reckon so. France are pap. Quality players, just an awful team. Should never have let the rebel leader Evra back in the squad

With Clichy as the next option they had to

posted on 19/11/13

apparently its only prem based players who are causing trouble in the squad so the french media are blaming us

Can't believe Clichy is able to steal a living at City.

Don't know why everyone thinks Clichy is so bad?

He's not a great defender, but he's far from awful.

Just think a club with the money that they have, City could do way better than Clichy.

Anyone think Iceland have a chance of going through tonight?

Oh and pp1212, if you see this...

Hard to choose between your designs because they look like they'd each appeal to a different age group.

1st one would appeal to a younger demographic. Could be printed on a cheaper t-shirt, whereas the 2nd would probably appeal more to the 25+ age group, and you could print it one a higher quality garment and charge a bit more for it.

Anyway, both would work I think. Good luck with it.

A man who was missing six stickers from a 1990s football album has tracked down the players in question so he could complete his collection. Adam Carroll-Smith, a 29-year-old Portsmouth fan who lives in the city, found the 1996 Merlin Premier League album in his attic.

It took him six months to trace the missing players, visit them and take their photos for his album. Mr Carroll-Smith says: "They were all fantastic, really accommodating guys."

The six players tracked down were: Gary Penrice [QPR], Lars Bohinen [Blackburn Rovers], Keith Curle [Manchester City], Philippe Albert [Newcastle], Scott Minto [Chelsea] and Stuart Ripley [Blackburn Rovers].

That's brilliant!

Captain Steven Gerrard says England are ready to show Germany the scale of their improvement under manager Roy Hodgson when they meet at Wembley on Tuesday.
England face Germany for the first time since Joachim Low's side won 4-1 in Bloemfontein in the last 16 of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
Gerrard said: "I'd say we are better.
"If we were to meet Germany tomorrow in a World Cup situation I don't think we'd leave the pitch having lost 4-1."

Wtf is wrong with Gerrard? Is he suggesting Germany haven't improved over the last three years as well?

Just usual England claptrap Lex, I tend to pay no attention.

I guarantee if we win tonight, the majority of the headlines will be a players quote along the lines of "We can win the World Cup".

Reporter: So England footballer player, can England win the World Cup?

England football player: Yeah, yeah, I don't see why not. On our day we're up there with the best. Once you get into the knockout stages anything can happen...

Reporter: Not really though, eh?

England football player: Nah. Just don't tell the sponsors.

Nah, I reckon he means Woy is far more defensive and we will only lose 2-0 now.

Still 2-0 against Germany second team, it is not such an improvement.

I know, quiet today.

Who said anything abt improvement? Thats what managers like Woy don't understand. He was hired to win. So he is doing what he did with the Swiss. Make sure the team is hard to beat and sneak a goal to get out of the group and maybe win a round on penalties. But with the lack good defenders and a dodgy goalkeeper even that isn't possible.

I would have preferred taxman Harry than Woy. Go out spectacularly and at least scare a few teams. That builds for the future.

IMO being hard to beat never leads to any progression.
