Left back is stacked. Gibbs shaw baines cole (in that order) but no RB's

Pete you really struggle to understand things don't you. Here is a difference between saying playing better and being better. Jenkinson played better last year.

some people did

was sort of a reaction to his average form mixed with the comments after rvp left and that pen he gave away against utd

all was forgiven after the sunderland game though

Rev is correct. Did they say Jenkinson is actually better than Sagna, or just playing better? Because that run of games Jenks got in the team then got dropped for Bacs, Bacs played sh/t for quite a while.

Wenger facked up by bringing Sagna straight back into the team. Should of given him more recovery time.

That was the most unjust dropping ever. Jenkinson was the best rb of all time. Wenger royally fùcked up there. His confidence must be so low. No wonder his first game back in the team was poor.

No. half our fking board wanted sagna gone. Dont u remeber the hate he got?!

Not sure.

Remember he got criticised a fair bit, but deservedly so. Same as you slating Ramsey, prior to this year, because he was playing sh/t.

Not of all time. I really hate iPads. In the league, at the time.

I always said I wouldn't care if Sagna went if someone was bought. Like abate.

There is a counter to that rev... sometimes it is best to rest a youngster before their form dips or they get injured and are forced to be rested

Abate is overrated. Gets caught on the counter so bad.

Adrian Durham still says jenkinson should be England's number 1 rb.

So does both our full backs. It's the way we play. It's the dms job to cover. Hence why I don't like arteta as a dm because he NEVER does. The first thing I ever noticed flaming doing when he came back was him doing that.

Jenkinson wasn't being rested. He was outright dropped because Sagna was world class 3/4 years ago.

areta does cover

Lewandowskis winner v us at the emirates. Look at it again. You can see arteta WALKING towards him. Not even jogging. Flamini would have been there 10 seconds earlier to cover Sagna.

The whole back 5 was at fault for Lewa's winner.

Sagna probably most of all to be honest, solely because he looks like he's on a Sunday stroll trying to get back.

No one would have considered Abate if we had not been linked. Wenger likes him and he wants technically proficient full-backs. Preferably with some history of playing in midfield.

The positive of keeping Sagna is that he can play for 2 or 3 years as backup centre back. But his legs are not what they used to be and may have problems later in the season.

"rested" is a term not necessarily exclusive to giving a player recuperation

my point is that sometimes its better to drop a young player before they have to be dropped through injury or some match costing clanger that would have a worse effect on confidence

The saying is much derided but i think that when it comes to youth development... Arsene Knows

I agree. Sagna and arteta should have held hands when they were getting back.

There is a difference between tracking back and covering. Arteta tracks back to cover his own mistake and them gives away a silly foul or if he's having a good day win the ball back. He doesn't cover the full backs like he should.

Arteta does cover, but not as intelligently as Flammers.

It's not even just about doing the physical covering of ground, it's about stopping it in the first place.

Do you think Flamini would have allowed Sagna to walk back like that? He would of been screaming at him.
