Tu Meke

I read somewhere that he's back in contention for the Southampton game. As is Podolski.

I have a feeling Theo will start vs Southampton.

Hmm. Would like us to have some pace against a quick, pressing Southampton side. Theo or Gnabbers is a must for me.

Hope Wanyama plays and replicates his form against Hull.

Don't give him any time and he'll give us possession...

Didn't watch the Hull game Lex, but other games I've seen him, he looks very good indeed. Seems to be everywhere at times.

I want to see Rosicky play and also Gnabry but only 1 of them will start

I would go for

-----------------Arteta---------Ramsey------------
Rosicky----------------Ozil-------------------------Santi

We need an outlet HK, I'm convinced of it. So'ton love to press all over the pitch, and they do it well. I'd love to see Theo start, even if he is at 80% - I think his injury was an abs one wasn't it, so not really a chance of a re-occurance through exercise?

Only saw the highlights myself, Chris, but going by what one of the Guardian journos that reported on it were saying, he was as bad as he looked on MotD.

Apparently he'd already given the ball away cheaply on the edge of his own area a few times before the one that cost Southampton a goal.

A genuine 2/10 performance.

These boards are SO pathetic when England play. Won't be anywhere near JA606 when the WC is on.

Why Chris H?

Actually having quite a good debate about England over on the Spurs board. Not too much tribalism going on.

Spurs board are, for the most part, decent Lex, bar the likes of 'The RC' and that.

50P - Just the amount of petty tribalism mate. Is it so hard to admit a rival player is better suited to the England XI than your own clubs player? For some people, it's so partisan it's unreal -

Southampton are over hyped like Swansea were a few years ago. You have to be careful but nothing to fear to be honest. Though our problem at the moment is the regression of Giroud. He looks very poor at the moment and is trying the old fatigue excuse. Its only November ffs.

Giroud needs Theo back more than anyone.

They might be a little overhyped J-to-the-Dawg , but they are a good side nevertheless.

We should win, but it's by no means a done deal.

posted on 20/11/13

Oh yes I see what you mean. Don't see why club rivalry has to do anything with international stage.

I'm not sure who from the Arsenal team I think should be in the England squad?

Wilshere - not at this moment in time.
Gibbs - Not quite, he'll get his time depending just how good Shaw becomes over the next 2-3 years.
Jenks - Nowhere near ready, has little decent competition though
Ox - Not ready.
Theo - Yes definitely. Way ahead of that utter clown Townsend.

In my opinion our weakness at the mo, Chris, are teams that sit behind the ball and hit us on the break. Southampton can't do that if they tried. Their defensive stats are based on ball possession and they can't do that away so their stats suffer away.

Southampton could be a Napoli type game. But the worry at the moment is Giroud is in my opinion.

http://youtu.be/UPTZ01Tq_6w most cringe worthy music video ever!!

Chris looming at the current English players in the set up I think all those bar jenkinson should be playing. Still believe Wilshere has a lot to offer

If Woy tries to accommodate Sturridge and Rooney we will be massacred in midfield by nobodies.

But Woy will play 4-4-2 and we will not make it out of the groups.
