I have done a little law and I understand how corporate disciplinary procedures work having advised companies on how to set them up.

Once you start a procedure you cannot stop it without good reason because it has implications on employment tribunals. So its either Giroud proved to Arsenal that he wasn't having an affair or he threatened Arsenal with worse unless they withdrew it. But because he admitted to the affair a few days later, the fine should have stood. As he brought lawyers into it, it is not far fetched to assume as many bloggers etc. suggested at the time that he did the same to Arsenal.

Its not a lie or twist. Only an obvious conclusion from a series of events.

Ancelotti took off Benzema who was having a good game and left Bale on. That was a mistake

Benzema just back from injury. Ronaldo a better option up front when playing with 10 men against Barca
