Gt, formations up front are not set in stone with Wenger. Wenger tries to match creativity with skill and dribbling in his teams.

In the past, we had two creators, two dribblers/pace, two direct on goal to balance the attacking third. (not incl Vieira who could be direct from deeper)

So for example, Overmars (pace/dribbling), Wright (direct pace), Bergkamp (creator), Freddie (creative/direct), Anelka (pace/direct), Pires (dribbling/Creator/direct), Henry (direct/pace/dribbling/Creator), Wiltord (direct/pace), RVP (creator, dribbling, direct), Cesc (creator, dribbling, direct), Nasri (dribbling, creator, direct).

Lots of options.

right now who could you say is direct in the attacking third?

Theo (pace/dribbling/direct), Santi (dribbling/creator), Ozil (dribbling/Creator), Pod (dribbling/direct). In my opinion, Ramsey/Oxlade/Wilshere are all deeper driving midfield players.

Of our attacking players, only Theo, Santi and Ozil possess the skill set to get into the teams of the past.

Look, I'm not criticising Henry by any means. I just think that if we're talking about pure, natural talent, the kind you see from a young age and immediately announces itself, van Persie is ahead of Henry. Henry was brought through one of Europe's best footballing academies, and his pedegree was outstanding - but much of what he contributed with his feet was taught; his individual talent stemmed from intelligence and athleticism. Whereas van Persie... the way he played can't be taught.

I don;t disagree GT, But we need to act faster.

Absolute on your side, Tee. We need to be more aggressive in the market. Suarez disaster in our minds. We need to target the players we want early and sign them. Draxler as one example. If he costs 45M EUR and we want him. Pay that shiiiiit and get him. Not dithering and hope other clubs lose interest.
