that horse that crashed into the barrier
----------------------------------------------------------------------
the whole thing was a joke... the start was like the kind of scrum you get for a rush hour tube

The old bloke announcer is shouting "NO, NO, NOT YET" and the horses just go anyway

Betting amateurs, eh Omar?

Not experts like us.

Had a 6 fold over the weekend culminating in Parma/Napoli - had Napoli to win .

Let down. Didn't even bother placing an insurance bet on Parma as was pretty confident in Rafa.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Parma are very solid at home and Napoli dodgy away. I tend to avoid Seria A teams apart from Juve and Roma. Trusted Inter this weekend at home to Bologna .

I bet you've lost more money than you've made over your lifetime of betting.

mugs

Maybe, not this season or last though.

This season I'm about evens, only because I won a £5 accumulator for about £80 and put it all on United to beat Fulham and they didnt Otherwise would have been up

Last season finished about £400 up.

This was my low risk big bet. £50 on for £216 returns. Just need Juve and Benfica to win tonight

May avoid Serie A in the future

Gave already up on this mafiosos. Facked me too many times.

This time it was Bordeaux who I lost 450 EUR on Saturday.

It's all well and good saying 'Giroud should hold the ball up' - but for months he's been doing that with absolutely no reward.
-------------------------

What are you talking about? He hasn't been doing that at all. Ozil has been doing that for him and taking pelters from the crowd because that has limited his passing range. Obviously it takes more time when Ozil receives the ball back to goal and his first objective is to keep possession rather than turning and finding a deeper runner.

Dennis Bergkamp received the ball half and half to hold the ball up. Thats what made him so special because he wasn't very big but was strong enough and extremely clever at rolling the defenders. I wish Giroud had 10% of his skill.

And I am sorry if Giroud has become disillusioned because players like Ozil, Wilshere and Ramsey have been injured and so taking the spotlight of his crudiness. £70k a week should mean a level of professionalism but obviously not.

None of this makes an iota of sense. You're bending reality to suit your argument and none of it holds up to scrutiny. Whenever Bergkamp received the ball, he already had three players or more running at break-neck speed to receive a pass. He was never the furthest forward player with nobody around him, as Giroud often is. Bergkamp was never expected to hold onto the ball for 30-40 seconds waiting for support, which is essentially what you're demanding Giroud does. You're making arbitrary statements and hoping that everybody's memories of the past are as short as yours.

Bergkamp was asked to play that role once in the 2005 fa cup final

It didn't work

The only similarity between Bergkamp and Giroud is that they both have statues of themselves at the Emirates.

Luckily for us, only Dennis' is a permanent fixture.
