Well i wish people wouldn't try to pass the bible off as factual then - The stories and interpretations evolve, which means that there is no actual factual version.

That's the difference between peaceful religious people who use the stories (which they are, fables even) as a metaphorical guide for life.

It's when people start using 'facts' from the bible to support or re-enforce their ideologies that problems and conflicts appear in any religion.

Unfortunately I have found people will always manipulate what suits them for votes, power and fame. In my view you can only shape your life and then your kids lives. I try my best to stay agnostic and take the best out of every religion. Others use any teachings to justify their actions however incompatible it may from actual religious beliefs.

In my view religious beliefs are entirely based on faith and therefore pretty much incompatible with facts.
