That fear we had has gone with the new style we are trying to impose and the less physically intimidating players we are recruiting.
The 05/06 team we had was a magnificent team with a magnificent manager, we would do well to put a team like that together, but I doubt it as some of those players Terry, Lampard, Makelele, Robben, Drogba, Carvalho were in the top 3 for their positions in the world at that time.
But with the 3 players that we need that I have mentioned added to with the loanees being recalled will give us a very strong young team with great potential. I am one of those Chelsea fan that is convinced Mourinho will be back this summer, therefore I am not worried about having that winning mentality back together with a very organised defence like we used to, as Mourinho will bring that instantly.
But in the case he doesn't come, I agree we need to give our next manager some time as we have to build that solid spine again, and some sort of winning mentality. Again I am confident Roman would have learned his lesson by the time Benitez leaves.

A squad consisting of those players backed up with Mourinho as manager I think is good enough to challenge.
Of course we can add a lot more quality to that, but I am giving the minimum which I think is required for us to be able to challenge on all fronts.
The fear factor we had before did really come from Mourinho, and we managed to successfully continue with that mentality after Mourinho left (Having big players helped)....so I guess what I am trying to say is that Mourinho coming back is the main ingredient in my future Chelsea here.

We can do far better than Fellaini and need someone better than Moses starting. Some smart recalls from loans and a CF and we're laughing:
