It is a weak punishment, IMO. The games should be played at the away teams ground, with only the other teams fans allowed.
Don't know that we've played behind closed doors, but terraces were closed for 2 games 82/83. Stands were open though.

i remember the 82/83 season especially the games where it was seating only...........lost 2-3 against Shrewsbury was one of the games
I remember seeing Leeds lose 3-2 to Shrewsbury at Elland Road; I think Mickey Thomas scored their winner. It was well aftter 1983 though - more like 1989.
