Taxi for Pearson

The games at the beginning of the season that we lost we were unlucky we were playing well and could have won them all! The games we have lost recently you can't say the same for, we've been poor because teams know how to get a result out of us, and we don't have an answer for it! You need plan b c d e

I notice you never post when we win or go on a good run, pathetic really your 5 second attention span, are you a fish?

Poted at the same time, my post was aimed at the spineless OP!

That's all very well, TrueBlue.

But the fact remains that this was from all accounts the disgraceful result of a disgraceful performance. I would love, really love, to be persuaded that I don't need to worry about it, and that I should maintain full confidence that Pearson isn't about to screw things up.

I hope someone on here will try.

I just wish you deluded fans out there would take your rose tinted glasses off.

Pearson has no plan B! His plan A isn't working that well because we can't put the ball in the net!

Our bench was shocking! Why is Vardy still here when we've got Schlupp at Man Utd! Get him back and in the squad and let Vardy go along with Gallaghr, Wellens & Waghorn!

Pearson is predicable on his interviews and how he plays the game which is why teams are beating us at the minute!

Play off disappointment beckons again if we're lucky enough to stay in the top 6!

Depends what you mean by scrwing things up really. I find it hard to believe that the managers and the players aren't trying their best, it's just that their best isn't good enough. Maybe their best will be better with another year's experience. And considering FFP and the squeeze on finances, would we be really able to do better than Pearson at the end of the season? Aside from maybe Adkins, I don't see anyone.

Incidentally, Schlupp is not the world-beater he's being made out to be. Whenever he's played up front for us in the Championship, he's looked out of his depth. You might argue that he's no worse than Vardy, but what I've seen is no better. Certainly he's no mystical saviour and the result can only improve by better work throughout the team.

If there's anything we could try, it could be a different formation, a 4-2-3-1, on the basis that the opposition won't be expecting it.

4-2-3-1 is a good shout but I doubt Mr boring will be flexible in his way of managing!
Seems very stubborn and maybe too loyal to his average performing players!

posted on 2/3/13

And another thing... regarding Pearson's interviews, I guarantee you there is nothing you'd enjoy hearing him say after a couple of losses. What you don't like is hearing him speak after a loss, for the simple fact that we've lost.

What do you want him to say instead?

And who are his average-performing players? Admittedly I only listened on the radio today but the most average performing sounded like Morgan, Drinkwater and Knockaert.

posted on 2/3/13

It's the inconsistency of most of them!
Kasper & Wes Morgan seem to be the stand out players so far. Even Nugent has gone off the boil!

Unfortunately, it's the old much-maligned Alan Hanson adage of not winning anything with kids. By my calculation, Andy King was the third-oldest outfield player today, and this is a guy who's still learning and developing his game.

The up side is that this team will be better next year for having one more year's experience and of course having played together during that time. Whether Pearson will still be here or not is a matter for the owners, but as I say, I'm not convinced there are many if any better options out there. However it does seem that this is a season too soon for this team in terms of promotion.

Why don't we go out and buy all the world beater players there are, oh wait a minute, we lost £30 million last year!

Been in the play offs for most of the season and we're deluded not the bloke who thinks just because we got into second place for a couple of weeks it's a god given right that we should still be there.

Maybe some of you just just toddle off and find another sport that only lasts a couple of weeks if the stress gets to you so much?

"Nugent gone off the boil"?

Yeh, he's had a really quiet couple of games, plonker!!!

posted on 2/3/13

Been pretty much non-existent since wood arrived.
Bit like Marshall since knockaert got here!

posted on 2/3/13

How many assists has Marshall got now, another two in midweek made 8 didn't it?

Knockaert has had more bad games than good and goes missing more than anyone when the chips are down.

Of course the partnership that Wood has with Nugent has nothing to do with his scoring record since arriving has it?

posted on 2/3/13

Quiet since wood arrived?? Seriously?!
He has set up countless goals for wood through his hard work and set up play, scored vital winners against boro and wolves!
And gone of the boil, considering he hasn't been fit last two games I think that's a bit of a daft statement!

It was good to see your comments after Tuesdays games Spoonfox......oh wait that's right!!!

We're coming to get you! last game of the season could be very interesting.

Wasn't even in the country last week so couldn't comment. Nothing wrong with having an opinion and your all entitled to yours but for some reason you all can't see that we're simply a cr@p team and Pearson will go at the end if the season once we loose in the play offs again (if we're lucky enough to stay there)

posted on 2/3/13

Look at what Hull did today, 3-0 up at half time. Clinical and finished the opposition off! If only we could do that!

posted on 2/3/13

Were you out of the Country the other 16 times we've won this season?

"for some reason you all can't see that we're simply a cr@p team"

Couldn't possibly be you overreacting then...

If you care to offer previously unconsidered insights then I'm always happy to take them aboard and be convinced otherwise.

Well, I’m still waiting to be persuaded that I don't need to worry about today’s embarrassing fiasco. We have Spooney on one side inviting us to despair, and TrueBlue raging at him on the other, but with no more explanation for what is happening.

Dunge’s take, sadly, seems to me the most persuasive: that this side’s best just isn't good enough and that we must hope for better next season. I have followed the Foxes since 1968 so I have the patience for that, miserable prospect thought it is. I hope our owners have it, too.

The answer of what is happening is simple and one a supporter of your length of time should know already Malling, every season is long and hard and no presumptions can be made of what will happen or where your chosen team will finish.

Many like Spoonfox claimed at the beginning of the season we were only a mid table team ( funny considering the season hadn't started ) so where we are now is above their expectations and we've been their all season nearly.

When we win 5 games on the trot do we all think we'll romp away with the title, even Cardiff could let that slip yet, so why all the panic and despair when we have a rough patch, why do fans still persist in thinking automatic places are our right?

Bearing in mind it's come out that we lost £30 million last year it's easy to understand the limitations Pearson is under financially making his work this year even more exceptional, he may have already met the owners targets by putting the Club back in a better financial position, promotion may be a secondary target now, who knows?

posted on 2/3/13

TrueBlue makes a decent point there - I was one of many posters on here who said at the start of the season that we were a mid table side, so in that sense we have performed above many people's expectations.

I think the last few games (and indeed the lapse we had earlier in the season) are the result of a very thin squad in terms of quality. Many people had that worry nagging away at the back of their minds even when we went on hot streaks and were shouted down for airing that view, but clearly they were right.

As Dunge says, this squad has neither the quality nor the experience to grab an automatic place and reaching the play-offs will be a decent achievement for this group of players.

Rose tinted viewing again. Like I've said before, and yes I have commented after a win true blue, NP has to go. Not next week, not in four games but now. Absolutely clueless tbh. Vardy on the bench? Gallagher 'duck out' in the dugout still? Why? Schlupp still absent. Hopefully the club will incur more debt shortly......by paying NP off. Get HIM in.....yep Mr Di C. He will get us to the promised land.
