Suarez is overrated yet has scored more goals in the league than the so called "best striker in the world" Robin Van Persie this season

I would rather someone who takes 4 shots per goal than someone who takes 8 and a half. all the top scorer means is he gets alot more chances to score than everyone else. shame really. if lfc had RVP or Rooney or Aguero. youd probably top 6.

what does that have to do with anything if he is top goal scorer in the league, goals that count not how many fecking chances he needs to put them away.

jesus, you are showing some bitterness!

No we wouldn't apart from Coutinho, the service to the strikers is bad. Most of Suarez's chances are self made, something RVP and Aguero can't do at an adequate level.
-
Maybe instead of taking so many shots he should get him teammates involved more?

and aguero and RVP are VERY good at creating their own shot.

Suarez is very good at creating his own shot, but when the shot isnt very good what does that matter?

Saint Mal,

?

did i mention Chelsea then? no i was just replying to the stupidity shown by the Arsenal fan, didn't mention your club at all,and for what little its worth even defended them on one of our threads to do with your stadium announcer.

Oh sorry

We're in the same team here guys. I love Suarez like he's my son.

that's quite a weak argument considering their teams are quite a way ahead of ours points wise and allegedly have better players, so they don't then obviously

Shows you're limited knowledge.
RVP has waaaay better service than RVP.
Aguero has been naff this season.

Rev that is a weak argument. Surely getting alot of chances is a skill in itself? His off the ball movement, his ability to create for himself are both elite and which is why he takes that many shots per game.

they, but they dont have as many chances as suarez, hence they have less goals while having a better conversion rate.

yes he does. he also has a waaaaay better conversion rate, as does aguero. doesnt mean they cant create their own shot, just means they dont have to as much as suarez. doesnt explain suarez' 8.5 shots per goal though.

ofcourse creating your own chances is good. but taking 8.5 shots to finish those chances is abysmal.

posted on 2/3/13

Rev that statistic about Suarez's shots per goal is probably from last season. The consistency of his finishing has improved so much this season, that's why he's the top goalscorer in the premier league.

Suarez is an alright finisher but he's a great scorer if you understand the difference. Volume wise, he can go off for braces, hattricks, 4s at any night.

Aguero isn't a great finisher himself tbh.

this season he has had 152 shots and 18 goals in the league. that is a goal per 8.44444444444444444 shots.

well you are consistent, i will give you that.

you are entitled to your opinion, even if a bit odd, as long as it isn't bitterness related then fair enough i suppose, but i don't care how many chances it takes him to score personally, as long as he continues to score and hopefully get golden boot, but RVP will probably get it as he gets better service.

same with berbatov. look how that turned out at united. top scorer one year. not even in squad next. Dzeko is the same, arent city trying to sell him?

jenners appreciate you not thinking im bitter, i admit i look at things in a different way to alot.

His case isn't like Berbatov. Suarez is able to impact a game in different ways and always comes big in the crucial games. Berbatov would score bulks of his goals in small games while not scoring and with his style of play, invisible in other games.

Suarez is just a very dominant player.
