It's a good point..... I'm sure more than a few of the people who were up in arms about him being dropped are the same ones today saying they would sell him on, this summer... and that he is not all that important.

In my eyes, he's still, by far, our best and most influential player. Unless there has been a major falling out that would affect the squad... I couldn't think of a worse player to lose. He fits UTD like a glove.

Utd would be mad to sell him, he´s a fantastic player and still has plenty more to give.

I´ve been really suprised by how many people I´ve heard today (Utd fans included) saying that he should be sold in the summer.

A lot of those Utd fans are feeling pretty proud today, when that felling runs out they will realise Rooney is not past it

It does seem stramge that Rooney doesn´t start one game and people start saying he´ll leave in the summer.

I´m trying to understand how and why so many people have come to that conclusion based on Rooney not starting just one game.

There have been rumours long before yesterday.

On ja606 they have mainly come from Macca's unnamed source (who also said that Rooney wouldnt start yesterday btw)
