Martinez performs the same level as moyes on half the budget. People will say Bruce had Wigan comfortable in mid table...but Whelan no longer backs the club, its all self generated now.
No chance of Martinez leaving Wigan
The next manager will be on a relatively small salary and have no money to spend
They will be forming a queue up edge lane

Dixie. Be careful what you wish for. Villa have been on the slide since the fans pretty much forced him out. Charlton went into freefall when their fans decided mid table wasn't good enough. If Moyes leaves, what caliber of manager do you think you'll entice, given the severe lack of funds available?
Worst thing City ever did was get rid of Peter Reid, also 6th place finish if I remember rightly
Took us years to halt the slide
I'm not here to wum,
But what I would say is if you are strong in wanting moyes out, think of every single possibility that will come with that.
Only be adamant if you have someone in mind who you honestly think will take you to the next step of champions league qualification.
From my point if view, I'd keep him, but I'm not an Everton fan, so I don't know what it's really like
Thing is, what after match team rollocking can Moyes give to his players?
He can't exactly say, "you're heart is not in the cause" or "If you not commited to us, then go"
If I was a player and he came out with that, I'd reply "well you're not exactly fighting for this cause are you? Signed ya contract yet"

As soon as I read the article I thought Villa and I see a few people have already mentioned it. I honestly can't think of manager who Everton could get who would do a better job, I'm not the biggest Martinez fan. Adkins maybe?
Why would you guys want Moyes to go? His level is Everton no disrespect. If he goes to a bigger club he'll flop.

Very true fella.
Maybe Moyes thinks he's outgrown us, don't know why as we've not brought any trophies back and the majority of his big money signings have been flops (Fellaini apart)
I doubt care if he flops....time to change. Him flopping at another club wouldn't have any impact on or results.

Well thats his problem.
I just feel that a change is needed..
Martinez would be good it's about time he went a step further.
Moyes has him in mind I feel if he goes. I don't think Whelan would be so against him moving to us as he was with how Liverpool approached him.
Future understudy under Fergie...?
Anyways, what "bigger" club in England could he go to?
Arsenal? They'll attract top internationally renowned managers
Man Utd? see above - although this position is a poison chalice
Then there's the "rich" clubs but not "bigger" clubs
Chelsea? - He won't last a month
City? - They've got the money to attract better managers
So, to conclude where else?
Well he's talking about Germany, yeah, may do a job there - actually, his head has probably been turned already
L4 ManUtd most likely but it's true what you've said. However if he leaves they'll be many clubs wanting him.
Don't know what Everton fans would make of it but I'd like to think Nigel Atkins will get another crack at the EPL.
Got Southampton promoted twice and they were holding their own in the EPL with a frankly terrible defence. Unjustly sacked in my view.
Please not Adkins......martinez or wenger if he wants a challenge
Its Martinez for me!
My first choice would have been Laudrup but that would be unlikely now..
Wenger don't like spending the £££ so Bill would love him here as he wouldn't have a penny to spend anyway!
Match made in heaven for both
Fell - fair enough. In all honesty I'd have said the same about Lambert and that's not exactly gone well for Villa!
Martinez would be good for Everton. What's the view on Lennon? Celtic appear uninspiring to me but beating Barca and getting out of their Champ League group isn't easy - just ask City!
Lennon may want a challenge. I still think it will be Martinez.
