Making Utd/Chelsea play the final 3 or 4 days after the semi final would give City a big advantage having not played and just devalues the competition.
Fixture congestion is something that is likely to happen year in year out and strategic solutions should've been in place long ago.
As much as i want to win and get to the final,I'd much rather do it in a fair level playing field manner
Look how touchy this little city fan is... small club mentality at its finest.

I think if you win the competition it would be unfair to think for a second that you won it on a silly technicality. It's down to your opponents i.e United/Chelsea to be strong enough to progress at the first attempt.
Throwing away a 2-0 HT lead at home doesn't scream 'deserving champions.'
If the Semi had to happen mid-week then surely the powers that be would consider moving it to a more local ground (like Villa Park) as it used to be or would the bean counters at Wembley stick their oar in? I guess I've answered my own question!
Ludicrous to expect working people to haul ass to London on a midweek night.
Wouldn't be a problem for United, half of our fanbase is in London, remember
The point is,the other top leagues in Europe prioritise the leading clubs and competitions so when they have an important champions league midweek the leagues bend over backwards and they play on the Friday evening before.
Utd were out on their feet yesterday having given everything midweek against Madrid, that would likely be the case again which I think is ludicrous for our top cup competition

Too true, wonder how much FA Cup final tickets are going for. Be nice to go even if United don't make it.
Well if Wigan or Blackburn get there you will easily get one. Think cheapest is around £30, or at least 2 years ago they were.

I guess the Spanish/German leagues et al. must be less rigidly controlled by the media i.e The Sky Premier League is run to the convenience of the broadcaster, not the clubs involved in the competition. More people are sitting at home on a Monday to watch MNF, whereas far fewer young men (one of the key target audiences for football) are going to sit in on a Friday night until 10pm to watch Man City v Wigan if they don't have an interest in the clubs. I watch MNF because there's nothing better on. I wouldn't stay in on a Friday night to see a game I didn't care about.
It sounds stupid and like i'm being too obvious, but the difference in ratings between a game attracting 4m viewers and a game attracting 0.5m literally translates to hundreds of thousands of ££ worth of revenue in advertising.
I know it's the F.A. Cup, but the principal is the same at ITV.
It's a joke that the semi-final is at Wembley. Means that if we beat Chelsea, we get to look forward to a £200 day trip to Wembley. Good job we got City if we go through, because I wouldn't be paying that to go to watch us beat Milwall 5-0 in a training session at Wembley.
Whether it's Chelsea or United, I haven't been this nervous about a semi since I watched Brokeback Mountain

Obviously not as insecure as a rag that is obssessed with rival clubs to the extent that he builds his user name around it, what a sad individual
Has your club not had enough players or achievements over the years that could inspire you to use your obvious lack of imagination to think of a better user name? Why are you trolling the City board anyway? Is Fergie not in the news again today?
Couldn't go to the last semi as my mum was in hospital so had to go and see her, and then a few days before the finial had to bury here, so couldn't go again.
I really do hope we can make the finial this time round.

The fact that you are sufficiently affronted by it as to require comment shows that it serves it purpose
I am not in the least affronted by it so don't delude yourself, the fact that i pity you for having such a low IQ in no way means i am affronted by you or your silly name

Interesting. Now you feel sufficiently threatened to question my intellect without any prior knowledge of my life, schooling or career.. fyi I have a significantly above average IQ.
People who result to petty insults rarely realise that by doing so they are merely highlighting their own failings.
Continue to waste your days misjudging people based upon personas adopted on an internet forum; I'm almost positive it will serve you well... or not...
You choose a user name to mock opposing fans because you obviously think that it is either funny or clever or even both.
I do not need to see your CV or require a list of your claimed academic achievements to form an opinion of your IQ.
I am not wasting my days, actually only my lunch time and again i can assure you that i am not threatened, affronted or anything else in regard to you or your silly comments.
If, as you claim, you have a "significantly above average IQ" then i suggest you put it to better use. The fact that you keep responding is an indication that would suggest otherwise.
