FA Cup Semi

It makes the final a bit of an anti climax - bit like last time, the semi was magic the final against Stoke a bit less so. As ever I could do without the expense of 2 trips to Wembeley with my 'entourage'.

Good for the rags though - a home game if they make it.

I made the last one but it cost me extortionate amounts of money that I am still paying back! I wouldn't bet against it being Chelsea just yet, if their attacking three have a good day, then they can be a good game for anyone.

It's a shame it couldn't have been the inal though, I agree. I do have a soft spot for Martinez and I hope he manages to get to the final now.

I went to the semi but was away for the final so had to give my ticket to my brother. I'm aching for another chance to see us in a final but I fear that demand for tickets would be even higher this time around.

No way, shocking!!!

I much prefered it when Semi's were played at other grounds.

Agree Red, as much as I want to go to Wembley, I want it to be for the final, the financial cost of 2 trips to fans is really too much.

Semi finals should be at villa park, Goodison etc. as for the comment above from KSB, as predictable as ever, shame the semi isn't in Stockport, although you still wouldn't fill the ground!

Same old crappy jokes

Hey Bolton, was that you on the train yesterday (Sunday) going from Piccadilly to Bolton at about 12:30?

Afraid not, was it some good looking George Clooney lookalike? ... if so it definitely wasn't me..

lol
Some bald fella in a City shirt stumbling around the carriages, shouting and swearing, clutching a bottle of something alcoholic....playing music on his iPhone out loud. Got a rollocking by the conductor and was threatened that the police would be waiting for him at Bolton when he got off

Must have still been pizzled from the day before and probably slept rough!

Just checking it wasn't you

hahaha, although 54 I've still got a full head of hair and don't wear a City Shirt (except for my retro Colin Bell shirt), I do know someone who it could be though, bit of a nut job ... obviously people have a low opinion of me!!

posted on 11/3/13

If that nut job has a mark on the top of his baldy head like a birth mark then yeah - it was him.

posted on 11/3/13

Not him, does that mean we have 2 middle aged nut job City fans from Bolton!!

BB, I thought that described your entire fan base

Just kidding, looking forward to the semi if we get past Chelsea

Describes the Bolton lot Jay; I think looking forward to it isn't the right phrase, can never really say I'm looking forward to a Derby to be honest... After that 2nd half you've got to think yourselves lucky you have a second chance.

Why do rags try to retaliate with Stockport comments? Who claimed that City's fans were predominantly from Stockport anyway? Some rag just picked a place name at random because they were fed up of cockney reds jokes then the rest just jumped on the bandwagon.
Thats like saying reds all come from Salford, hardly the same as huge numbers of your fans coming from the other end of the country or even further afield, epic fail
Still to hear a rag fan with a Manc accent being interviewed on tv the last ones i heard were Irish, southern and a brummy.

I know what you mean, I start bricking it a few days before the derby, and turn in to a wreck just before it You are right there, I've not seen us play that badly for a long time. We just couldn't hold the ball, and couldn't string more than 2 or 3 passes together.

Kept hoofing it out, and it just kept coming back, no one making space to pass to. Just seemed so poor. Fatigue could possibly be used as a reason, because no doubt the 90 minutes against Real were probably the most intense we've played for years, but even so. If players are tired, we've got a big enough squad to shift them around. Just didn't happen, bad day at the office.

Though saying that, we should have buried them before half time, only ourselves to blame.

Could be 2 derbies in a week, will be a nervous wreck!!

Indeed, I think I may need the week off work if it comes to that. and a lot of beer. Would it fall with the FA cup first, or league game first? You wouldn't even have the benefit of one of them being at the Etihad either.

Don't know theres talk of the replay being played FA Cup semi weekend and the Semi Final being played midweek!!... I sincerely hope not..

Look how touchy this little city fan is... small club mentality at its finest.
