Sorry but Torres and Rooney on their day were also something else. I think Torres and Rooney had more finesse about them. Drogba was just a very good battering ram.

Though, i'd argue that on average, Rooney put in better performances than the others - which will surprise a few Rooney apologists on this board who seem to think i have an irrational hatred of Rooney.

Hmmm i'd disagree with that. Torres' speed of though and 2nd touch was unplayable on his day as was Rooneys intelligence and movement was also unplayable.

Rooney Drogba Torres. Based on their overall influence on the game.

At his best, Rooney is a world class striker and midfielder rolled into one. Plays as a playmaker but scores goals as well.

Drogba was a bully to defenders and was very difficult to play against but maybe had less influence than Rooney did.

Torres was a superb goalscorer but arguably the easiest to play against.

All 3 of them are slightly different types of strikers, maybe all 3 better suited to different opponents and different style of play...

Could they have played together and formed a great partnership?

Agree with this, he turned up on the big occasions. Apart from against us in the 2008 Champs League final thank god. That Terry slip still makes me laugh uncontrollably everytime I See it.

Drogba was something else. Granted, he did not have too many great days against us.

But he was the ultimate big game player. They don't come any bigger than him - you need someone to stand up and be counted in a big game, he delivered.

He was more gifted than many gave him credit for. He has a better first touch and control than Rooney, ambidextrous, he has very good technique, creates goals,scores free-kicks, defends and attacks in both boxes... i could go on.

Rooney and Torres gifts are there and as i said, Rooney on average performed better but Drogba at his best was arguably the best forward in the world.

I don't know about you lot but at certain times Chelsea's midfield has been dire and he had to pretty much do all the attacking by himself.

There is very little in it but Rooney and Drogba will be remembered for the good things better than Torres.

Drogba, hands down. This isn't even a debate. At the top of his game, Drogba was unplayable

torres 50 goals in 72 games in pl games, what was drogbas?
