5th place and winning the Europa wouldn't be a disaster by any stretch of the imagination for you, i'd consider it a damn good return after losing yr two best players in the summer

Heard the COYS loud enough immediately after 0-1.
Can be hard to keep rallying the team when the passing was like that I guess.

At the start of the season we'd all have taken that... But as per usual we've had our hopes built up and it all looks to be falling apart again...

Still keeping the faith though

Is the op for real winning the europa league would be better then finishing 4th and having really not much chance in champions league. Both is what tottenham will be aiming for though. I think tottenham couldn't afford a loss today with arsenal and everton winning yesterday. Now chelsea and tottenham season depends on quite a few big games in the league really and europa league energy levels.

We did win the Hafijur PL Cup this season though.
Which is why he is always on Spurs 606, isn't it haf ??

"We've probably over achieved so far this year - on balance we are not quite as a stong as we were last year, so 5th seems about right."

Nope.

We have achieved what the collective ability of the recent squads is capable of. Or to use Arry speak, Spurs are not "punching above" their weight, but are punching right at the limits of their weight.

Wot are our chances of winning the Europa league if we can't even beat Fulham at WHL?
Should try like hell for 4th spot.

It does always strike me as strange when commentors, pundits, etc... will harp on about CL qualification being pivetal to a club, but in the same breath they'll downplay an upcoming CL matches relevance to the same club.

If your sole objective is qualifying for a competition in the future, why would you do anything but fully commit to it in the present?

I hope you beat Basel by 5 or 6. The ultimate smash and grab team. I think I predicted Bayern munich to win 7-0 against them and 1-3 in the first leg but I was basically right that they would get thrashed. Basel are the worst side I have seen man utd play in champions league.

If tottenham can thrash them I will be pleased

Our destiny is still in our hands we need to get the balance right in our team !!

"Its also in evertons hands as well."

Everton of all the clubs will be having the biggest say on what the final PL top 4 looks like.

Thats the things if everton win all the games they will most likely finish in top 4 without a say from other clubs. They are in the position now to kick on. Like a 2nd chance at top 4. They need to rstop drawing games though when on top.

"Hafijur, why don't you just support Peterborough?"

They haven't turned over Man Utd in one season in the PL or CL like Spurs and probably Basel have.

Yet.

Well good for you. Its actually amazing that the 2 teams I support have Sir Alex Ferguson and Darren Ferguson as manager. I was amazed when Darren Ferguson first took over.

Darren Ferguson also was born on the same day as me as in February 9th.
