Halfpenny would also be one of the best wingers we could pick too. I would take all 3 of those and lose one of the wingers. Neither England winger convinces, Bowe is injured, still not convinced by Cuthbert, Visser is ok, hmm.
Hey Cob, Good points mate, forgot that 1/2p was a winger also.
I think Bowe is expected back soon, if he gets a run of games behind him for ulster in the Heineken cup he could well play himself on to the plane. Visser has been the top try scorer in the Rabo league for the past 3 years but showed nothing much with scotland but what does that tell us about him, Great finisher against sub standard opposition in the Rabo? or maybe just that Scotland are not equipped to put him in the space he needs? Perhaps its a bit of both i dont know. if i was going to choose a guy in a sort of "give em a go" mentality i would be inclined to go with Zebo simply for his flair.
Im still in love with the center partnership of BOD and Roberts. Remember them on the last lions tour? Some said it was the best both ever looked. together they formed an incredibly destructive center pairing and with the welsh wings and FB i reckon you have possibly 5 players to start the first test right there! admittedly i am a bit bias toward o'driscoll and thing it would be an injustice not to bring him. he's still one of the best in the game and you just can't get experience like his anymore.
i think foden, if he gets a run of games behind him for saints could make it on the plane as a utility back, can play FB or wing, would definitely be my starting 15 for england
Ye another good player is Foden. But in terms of pecking order, were gona have 5 or maybe six in total wings and FB's so could be difficult the get on the plane.
