Could these journalists and newspapers be the same papers that many a Liverpool fan regards as Manchester/London biased gutter press by any chance
Fell
"Unless you have a copy of the ref's report you are being a sheep and following what the press want you to believe"
The press, independent of each other, decided this was the agenda that was going to be set? Hats on its conspiracy time.
Put it this way. The 5 press organisations all reported it should've been a pen. They did so without getting together and deciding that's what they'll report.
Glenn Hoddle is the only one to outright say it was given for Osman's apparent handball.
The Mail acknowledged Osman's apparent handball. But said it was unlikely it influenced the refs decision.
The only thing you've got is 'if the ref said it was a free kick, he must be right', as if refs never get a decision wrong.
Come on now. Fellaini cheated. Simple.
Dr Phil
You've cited The Mail (wrongly) and Glenn Hoddle as evidence the ref gave it for Osman's apparent handball.
It works both ways, your quoting 'the gutter press' to prove your point.
Where have I, not Liverpool fans, said 'gutter press'?
I was at the game and from where I was it came off ossies arm and the ref immediately pointed to Ossie and indicated handball.
Regarding quoting from newspapers, you were the one spouting nonsense that it had been in the papers and I pointed out that papers and pundits also pointed out that it hit Ossie on the hand by using the same media sources you chose.
What other sources did you want me to use??? perhaps professor Stephen Hawkin or the Dalai Lama.
You tell me
Dr Phil
You were at the game and had one chance, maybe two on the big screen, to see it.
" I pointed out that papers and pundits also pointed out that it hit Ossie on the hand by using the same media sources you chose."
That'll be A paper and A pundit. You could find Hoddle, who was the only one to say it was given because of Osman. The Mail said it hit Osman, but was unlikely the ref gave it for that, dis proving your point.
Get the new pope on. He'll know .
I also have it on skyplus and the commentators did initially see it as a Fellaini handball and when they reviewed the situation they realised the offence was by Ossie about 5 mins and 4 different camera angles later.
They even realised their initial error by the ref he clearly approaches Osman and gestured to him that he handled the ball.
You clearly decided not to divulge that side of things as it does not fit in with your argument
Dr Phil
I didn't watch the match live on Sky. Why would I cite something I haven't seen?
Wow..are the RS still on with the man city post match jealousy you wish you could perform like that..just once
Now where's that league table.......
Dr Phil
I didn't watch the match live on Sky. Why would I cite something I haven't seen?
You seem to be trying to for the past 3 hours. When I sobered up the following midday after celebrating our win and watching how pathetic Liverpool were against Southampton I watched the whole match as live and couldn't believe the ineptidude of the commentators who took an age to realise that Ossie was the first player to handle the ball and not Fellaini.
So unless you have seen the footage that sky broadcast and seen the commentators backtracking then I think its pretty futile of you to continue with this Fellaini cheated farce.
Don't you
Dr Phil
"So unless you have seen the footage that sky broadcast and seen the commentators backtracking then I think its pretty futile of you to continue with this Fellaini cheated farce."
Sky themselves reported it as a pen that should've been given. See my quotes earlier. The general consensus, amongst those that reported on, and analysed, the match is that it was a pen.
Fellaini cheated, end of.
You are citing something that you haven't seen.So whatever you come up with is meaningless.

Now you claim to have seen it on MOTD, why not put that in your original post....

Get it yet? Dr Phil is asking why I hadn't mentioned what the Sky pundits had said about the pen. I replied that I hadn't watched Sky so was in no position to do so.
I had however watched it on MOTD later. The pundits on there thought it was a pen, as I mentioned earlier, over 2 hours ago.
