You seem to be rather irrationally disturbed by my opinion regarding the driving ability of Vettel compared with Massa. Perhaps I have been paying more attention to their racing than you have.

Over the last 3 years Vettel has had the advantage of driving a car that has been far superior to the Ferrari. I suppose that in some eyes that fact alone is proof positive that he is a far better driver than for example Alonso. But you have not stated that have you. I wonder why.

I think the point wtcbu seems to be making is that Vettel is actually very ragged in his driving style and misses quite a few apexes but the car compensates for it.

If Alonso, Hamilton or Kimi were behind the wheel of that redbull, the championship would be over from day 1.

I do not dislike Vettel in fact I think he is quite likeable, but there is not a person that has followed F1 that seriously thinks that Vettel is in the same class as Hamilton, Alonso and Massa

Massa has gone through a difficult period but I still rate him as being a far better driver than Vettel. Personally I dont get the for what me seems like over critism of Vettel. I can't see what else he could have done since his debut to impress those who thing otherwise. Of course he still has a long career ahead of him, and maybe opinions will change on either side of the debate.

My gut is that when any sportsmen are very successful they gather a fair bit of unfair critism. There were a fair few who didnt like Steve Davis, Stephen Hendry in snooker for example, but as soon as they dipped people liked them and appreciated then exactly what they did achieve. Maybe it is because one person is stopping their favourite from winning on such a regular basis? Jimmy White fans for example probably got sick of the sight of Hendry

Is Vettel the best on the grid? Not sure - but he's got to be in with a shout.
