Ask yourself this: Who is the more handsome of the two?

Discussion over.

"The stats are skewed slightly because Wenger played Bendtner on the wing quite a lot for whatever reason."

That's true.

Was that not an effort to improve his close control and first touch? If so, then that failed dramatically.

I've seen a blind epileptic with a club foot take a better first touch than Bendy.

Bendtner was never good for our club. He had been here for years and the improvement was very small. If he had any proper talent he'd have come good. Hes been shown up for how carp he was a sunderland and juventus

Bendtner did well at Sunderland. And he hasn't even played for Juve, always injured.

He was alright for Birmingham too.

So you all want to give Bendtner several years to prove himself he is good enough and dont want to give OG one season playing in a far weaker team than Bendtner played with. Dissappointing.

there would be sunderland fans who wouldnt agree with you bats.

Bendtner is an awful striker. Not good enough for a top 4 team. I doubt hes even good enough for teams like fulham and stoke.

Hes been gone for a couple of seasons so obviously you all have forgotten how chit he really is

Damn right. Giroud has had a very promising first season. He's got goals and assists to make any striker reasonably proud yet all he gets is criticism.

Podolski has been getting some scathing reviews too recently. He's been a little absent from time to time and I'm not sure he's played 90 mins yet but I'm pleased with his first season too.

Sunderland fans did rate him, they just said he didn't score enough goals. That's why they spent double figures on a goal scorer like Fletcher who does nothing else.

Bats, why didnt Sunderland buy Bendtner then?

Bats ive spoken to sunderland fans and they feel the same as me

I spoke to Sunderland fans on not606, they all said he was talented and they rated him but that he is not the type of striker they need, because he drops deep and links play when they want him scoring goals.

It's Giroud's first season in England

It's hardly fair comparing Bendtner's best ever season with us (after loans at Birmingham and regular appearances for us beforehand) with Giroud's first.

And you also need to take into account Bendtner was playing with the likes of Cesc, Nasri, Arshavin, RvP etc.

Giroud opened the scoring for France with a beautiful header against Georgia last Friday night, whereas Bendtner is currently suspended from representing Denmark due to being found guilty of drink driving.

Facts, eh.

I still have high hopes for Giroud, I like his movement and link up play.

How can you say Giroud is a flop? 15 goals & 11 assists is a good return. Giroud might even get to 20 this season, his first season. That's better then Drogba managed in his first season.

63% pass accuracy. Shocking player.
