The only thing I would take over an England win is a Spurs PL and CL double
-------------------------------
More chance of the World Cup then!
To be fair I don't think you'll find many United fans saying Cleverley is better than Wilshere, doesn't mean he's a bad player though
Pride, two players were shocking last night. They happen to be Welbeck and Cleverly. This isn't ABU talk. It's facts. Why can't you accepted it?
Depressingly not Serial, thats how bad England are
There were only a few players who played well last night.
Milner, Rooney and Hart.
Most of the team was made up of Utd players, course we are going to criticise them.
I remember the day after United got knocked out to Real, the most recent 2 pages starting from the day after we lost, 27 of those Articles were about United getting knocked out And they accuse United fans of being the worst!
Edin, Milner did not play well.
Actually i take that back. For someone with no skills, no technical ability, no real footballing ability but to run around, Milner was half decent.
Some people seem to have got it in their heads that I don't care about england and can't appreciate good football on an international level. That is not what I said. That is not the case. I just don't feel England are in my blood the way that arsenal are. As was previously mentioned, half the england players I hate for the majority of the year so I find it hard to get equally enthusiastic. But I still support care about England.
England-plastic.
Serial. Milners delivery was pretty good, just because we dont have players who gamble with crosses doesnt mean he had a bad game.
Fair play for being honest mate, but simply cannot comprehend your view point.
Fair enough Chris. Each to their own. Like I said I think our trophy drought is very relevant to my viewpoint, so hopefully I won't feel like this in the near future
If it's any consolation i.wish.arshavin.was.my.dad, I really do not care about England. If they never qualified for another competition I would be slightly happier as it would mean our players get a little more rest.
I still don't think a pathetic CC trophy is anything over England winning the World Cup. A league or CL, yeah. But not a second tier cup!
Its acceptable if its due to a bad blip in your teams form i.wish.
Yet I think people who are actively Anyone But England, yet support a PL team should GTFO. Bunch of plastics.
Not plastic edinspur, just not patriotic or nationalistic. And if you look at England objectively, they are a ruddy awful team.
Arsenal won the World Cup in 1998.
They are awful but I still want them to do well. Nationalistic isnt the term I would use to describe them.
I dont mind people who dont care about internationals, and would rather games werent played throughout the season. But people who actively want England to do badly?! Pfft
Okay Edinspur, put it this way.
If I didn't have to hear about them or have any Arsenal players play for them it wouldn't bother me if England did well. As it stands I think that France, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, Brazil, Argentina etc are all preferable to England considering the styles they play.
In truth I can seperate the 2. Its quite easy but then again I do tend to chear England on if Arsenal players are in the team.....but I do not chear another country (i.e France a few years back....) when we had majority of players in their team.
But if Arsenal had to play England I would back Arsenal all the way......
I love my country but love Arsenal just a tad more.....
Anyway watching England ATM is like watching Arsenal.....just cannot seem to win games when they should do..................
Arsenal winning the champions league and England winning the world cup are just as rare/unlikely so both would be equally amazing.
These internationals are very tedious, qualifications and friendlies... but some of my greatest footballing memories come from world cups and euros. I just love the amount of football they pack into one month, its the best thing about football imo, so supporting England edges it.
