I was going wild when the goal went in, although I think I could even tell it was offside just let my heart overrule my head...
Getting tight for you guys now but I would like to see you and Wigan stay up, Wigan are the survival specialists you don't want to go there last day of the season needing the result if they need it as well.
we got lucky, could have gone either way.
just glad we made up for the shambles at home in the first encounter, 3pts is what matters, performance comes second.
squeaky bum time for me a few times.
We were very poor defensively so Villa always had a chance but it just didn't go for them today. Our performance typified our inconsistency this season.
Hope Villa stay up. Great banter with the away fans.
QPR, Reading and Sunderland to go down please.

strange, do you celebrate every goal against us?
Benteke is such a handful and will be a top player in the future but do you reckon you will keep him next year even if you stay up?
Villa were pretty decent today and got hit by a sucker punch with Hendo's goal and didn't know how to react. I think they might just get enough points to survive by beating teams around them.

...................................................
As long as it has some meaning I will generally celebrate it, although a last minute winner/equaliser generally means a bit more than a goal in the middle of the match.
I really believe it depends on Benteke. Villa and Lambert will not want to sell him. But, Swansea are a prime example, they did not want to sell Michu and Michu does not want to leave...hence why he extended his contract.
It all depends on Benteke for me, if he wants to stay then I'll be over the moon. And he'll end up staying. But if he leaves then all I can say is...Thank You.
If you get relegated hes gone
7 celebrated a villa goal.
And they say Liverpool are a small irrelevant club...

Unfortunately no I didn't... I did celebrate the ball hitting the back of the net.
Maybe I am the only football fan who enjoys seeing his rivals do badly
Funny when we do it we are called bitter.
Sorry but united fans are proper bitter, just because your successful doesn't mean your not bitter.
Some united fans a proper bitter an twisted.
We could've and should've got at least 1 point. Liverpool in the end deserved all 3. I still think Sunderland will go down and the god awful Wigan and us will stay up. As much as Sunderland don't offer anything to the league, Wigan are almost as bad.
Just a poxy small nothing Club with about 50 fans that do nothing until the 30th game of the season at which point they'll annoyingly start to play football. That's all they offer there 50 fans, relegation excitement.
Can't wait to see Wigan finally get relegated and we'll never have to listen to that fat decrepid vile miner owner of theres back where he belongs.
Should be but not too disappointed, it was a game that we were always likely to lose, and not one I wishfully hoped we win.
There are more opportunities but this could have been a bonus.
Wide open for 1st Goal and stupid challenge gave away penalty. We have to learn from these mistakes and the fact that through them it could be why we go down(along with other factors)
Stopped Suarez scoring I guess is some achievement .
Need Fulham to win tomorrow as otherwise not great weekend for us. Need Reading and QPR to cast adrift and then out of the rest I think we may survive. If one of those i.e QPR do escape, then we are in trouble.

who won the battle of the clubs that used to be big?
Serious question, Chronic... Who would you like to see go down from the teams fighting in relegation and who do you think will go down?
adot alrite boss
i want villa to stay up - i dont like villa much but i like the fact you have a young side and i hope they do well. need to start playing with their heads though. what on earth was that clown doing diving in like that on suarez in the box. sunday league players would have stood him up.
shocking.
i want sunderland to go down. a total waste of time, and a massive trek of an away game.
we got rid of the pointless blackburn and bolton last season, and if we get rid of sunderland then that is another waste of time club removed.
i like wigan - they are underdogs and actually play decent football. i hope they stay up.
to go down...
qpr, reading, sunderland.
saints will be fine, benteke will save villa, wigan will get enough points.
Agree. I thought exactly the same. To be fair to Baker he made a very good last ditch tackle on Gerrard when he got through on a tight angle, was a very good tackle, but the Suarez one Good grief!!!- I don't blame the players, tbh. They are young, inexperienced, but one thing they are doing is giving their heart and soul to the club. We as fans cannot ask for more.
even an inexperienced player should not be doing that.
inexperience is no excuse for playing like a diiiick,.
inexperience is valid when you cant quite see games out, or if you crumble under pressure, or if you give the ball away because you dont do the simple things...
diving in like that in your own box would be unacceptable to any defensive coach in any youth side in the world, let alone the country.
and do to that on suarez too. what on earth was he thinking
To be fair Chronic, if he makes a clean challenge we applaud him... Our defence are always throwing themselves at players and the ball, no matter wherever they are... Those moments have come throughout the season and may come to hurt us come the end of the season.
I just think if we played the way we did today, we'll beat the teams around us, i.e. Sunderland. When we lost to Arsenal and City, Lambert came out and said we just need to continue to play like we are...and we did so and beat Reading and QPR.
We've got Stoke away, Fulham at home and United away next... Pretty tricky.
stoke are useless.
