the chelsea game being moved? good or bad?

I'm pleased you and Chelsea have more games than us

Realistically, if either of us make the semi finals of the europa is there even a slot for the match?

Hopefully Rafa will continue to play the reserves in the league

Agreed Chronic. The only thing I would have changed about today's result is that Chelsea won it in extra time. I highly doubt they'll get past City who have a brilliant recent record against them, either way, it's a match they'll be playing full strength for and giving everything. At the end of the day we must beat Everton!

Beating Everton is a must win, because if we lose against either Chitty or Cha_vs it will be tough for us

I'm confident that our run in will secure us top 4 no question

bale me out... ok sorry.. it seems chelsea have a game that midweek.

will be shoved to the end of the season somewhere then i would assume

I don't think it's a good or bad thing. Something as small as inconsequential as a fixture change like this won't make a difference. If we are good enough to be top 4 we'll get good results regardless of what's put in front of us. If having to play in the europa league midweek adversely affects our performances then we're not that good anyway.

Our Game against Chelsea will be the last game of the season when they may have to beat us to get CL at the expense of Arsenal it would be great to get revenge for the bad luck we had when Chelsea were unbelievably lucky in winning the CL !!

I think it is good, if it is played at the end of the season, it may not even be relevant.

Beat Everton and draw with City would suit me

If the game is moved to end of season it could become a CL play off. Better hope we are ahead otherwise it could work in Chelsea's favour.

Sandy - It would be great to go to Stamford Bridge with the CL spot in the bag being 3rd seeing Cheatski & A rseholes fighting it out over 4th !!

How funny would it be if we had wrapped up third by then and Arsenal needed us to get a result. Maybe we could give fulop a one game contract?

I reckon Spurs would put out their junior side.

The Chelsea game will be played on the 8th May currently.

Just looked at the fixtures and there are basically two free mid weeks left.

Before and after penultimate league game (cup final weekend).

Europa league final is the mid week slot after so if Chelsea get there then that rules that out.

If Chelsea get to FA Cup final then the whole league final games are screwed.

They will have one mid week slot to fit in Spurs and Villa (cup final league game) before the actual cup final.

My bet is that will be when we play them as our game will be overdue.

But then what happens with the Villa v Chelsea game?

If Chelsea get to both finals then basically they will have two games to play on the final weekend of league fixtures.

If their last game is moved then if CL is not settled Arsenal's will have to be moved and Spurs v Sunderland. If Sunderland are still in relegation battle then all the relegation games that are still relevant will have to be moved.

its a big mess then potentially

Dunno about anyone else, but I would definitely prefer to pip Chelsea to a Champions League spot rather than Arsenal. Not that I'd be too fussed either way, but my Arsenal mates feel the same, they would rather we got in than Chelsea.

They should just forefeit the 3 points

it would be sweet, but not sensible.

for spurs, a better situation is arsenal out the cl.

if chelsea come outside then it doesnt change anything, they will still blow 100 mill, maybe more in the summer...

as arsenal are actually run properly, then it could have a more damaging affect for arsenal.

Good thing IMO.

When you look at our performance against Fulham after that week you can see why.

Key for me is keeping Bale, Vertongen, Lennon and Dembele fit too. If they stay fit then we have a chance. I hope Lloris is back for the weekend too. Could be the difference.

Also, is Fellaini and Pienar out of our match next week? That'd be great!
