Hopefully they won’t get the sort of moronic reaction they got when they signed Mo Johnson.

It's only non gers fans that seem to make a big issue of it
Strangely....
Glad to hear it Zachsda.
How you enjoying the season?
It’s only just struck me that today’s Rangers fans are the first to ever see their team promoted (you’ve never been out of the top flight before have you?). How weird is that after 140 years.
I'd rather we didn't sign him..........only because he's keech.

Since 2000 every other SPL club has played a ROI international - but not Rangers.
Also over 100 English clubs have played a ROI international.
Great to see Rangers catching up.
Get a life Wolfgang, stop trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill.
wolfgang
google why alan maybury had to refuse Rangers
its not all the big bad Rangers fault
also look at where our sub GK from game on saturday is from cheers
Woolfie-you are a bit if a wum.
Are Irish Catholics any more Catholic than Italian or French or Scottish ones.........take your time........
"uniquely"
That would mean that you are claiming that Rangers are in fact the only club (let's restrict it to the whole of the UK) never to sign a capped ROI player....
You have of course proof of this beyond your rabid nonsensical ravings....
Wolf - International or National?
Have you lost the lid from a can of worms Wolfgang?
John Daly isn't an international though....
Wolfgang - do some feckin research before blindly listening to the bs espoused by some of your fellow Celtic fans
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alex_Stevenson
Alexander Ernest Stevenson (9 August 1912 – 1985) was an Irish footballer who played for Rangers and Everton, amongst other teams. As an international, Stevenson also played for both Ireland teams - the FAI XI and the IFA XI. Stevenson is the only footballer to have played for both the FAI XI and Rangers and is one of only three players born in what is now the Republic of Ireland to play for the club. The other two were Alex Craig and James Lowry McAuley (Reuben Evans was another Rangers player from the Republic of Ireland but he did not play for the first team)
Alex Craig (born 2 April 1886) was a football player who played for Rangers, Greenock Morton and Ireland.
He is one of only three players born in what is now the Republic of Ireland to play for Rangers. The other two were Alex Stevenson and James Lowry McAuley.
James Lowry Macauley (born 1889 in Portarlington, County Laois, Ireland) was a professional footballer, who played for Rangers, Huddersfield Town and Preston North End. He also played football for Ireland.
Apology any time would be fine....
Good luck with that apology. I have been correcting him on his inaccurracies for 3 years now and I still haven't seen one.

you will be staggered to hear that I consider myself to be a Rangers fan
2
I did say ROI Catholic - to the best of my knowledge the three players you mentioned were not catholic, I apologise in advance if I'm wrong
Completely off topic, I don’t have any particularly strong feelings pro or anti Rangers or Celtic and when it comes to religion I despise all flavours pretty much equally but I’ve always thought I’d rather watch a match with Rangers fans but drink with the Celtic fans afterwards.
Have I been subliminally influenced by mass media bias? Am I an idiot who should keep his mouth shut and let Wolfgang take the flak?

My mate Mick McCarthy played for Celtic, didn't he?
Tatter
Mojo's dad got leathered by celtic fans the night after he signed
A tad more moronic than a burnt season ticket
So...aye...let wolfie take the flak
