Same team as you white is the colour, although i like howson behind the striker, don't think clayton is ready

I'd probably go for

Lonergan

Connolly
O'Brien
Kisnorbo
Bodor (haven't personally seen him but haven't seen Parker play well in ages, Lichaj on loan would be good here too)

Gradel
Brown
Howson (behind striker)
Clayton
Snodgrass

McCormack.

with Nunez, Sam,...........Paynter as attacking options off the bench.

I don't think Nunez will start, I think Clayton will start.

Agree with ' MazzaRadebe' in terms of the 5 in midfield as i think both Howson and Nunez would either be too attacking or it would limit Howson's influence. Nunez could certainly be useful coming off the bench though.

If only becchio was fit, that would be quite a good side with plenty of flair and potential for goals and attacking options from the bench. Desperately need McCormack to start scoring, if he does we have potential there.

I agree harrowwhite, if McCormack scores a few early on then we have a great striker.

What constitues early on for Mccormack, second from last, or last game of the season?

Seriously though, have been very disappointed with his pre season really thought end of last season would see him start hitting net on more regular basis.

SKB, i hope SG has learnt from sunday, howson played a free role and i thought he was outstanding

posted on 2/8/11

Jonty i have said somewhere else both him and paynter look like they are searching for the ball up front, dropping deep to receive it or off to the left or right of the box, as a consequence neither is in the position to score. Are we playing to their strengths, i don't think so, you may as well play a four-six formation with no strikers as the one we have where they are being asked to score from an impossible position

Sir Kenneth Bates- stop over analyzing the situaton that is what grayson is payed to do and just give youre 11.

snodgrass
howson

gradel

paynter
somma

I'm patenting that, a team without strikers, we have plenty of goals from midfield and strikers who cannot score, so it is just logical to have a four man defence and a six man midfield, where is it written down you need to have a centre forward, reckon i've just invented the next great sea change in professional football

posted on 2/8/11

you going to electrify somma's wheelchair leeds are going up?

posted on 2/8/11

When Gradel and Snodgrass rip their defence apart, McCormack and or Paynter will have tap ins!

posted on 2/8/11

Whats up with somma? been in Cyprus for over a month. mate told me becchio was to miss start of season but no word on davide.

posted on 2/8/11

that somma is a right lazy sod, done his cruciate ligaments in what kind of excuse is that, you'll be telling me albert Johanneson isn't fit enough to play next.

posted on 2/8/11

so going into saeson with just 2 fit forwards, hope the defense toughens up or it could be a hard start to season except bradford game.

Harrow, a week ago you could have had a team without strikers and goalie!

posted on 2/8/11

albert johanneson is one of the few who is always fit no matter how many games he plays.

11 midfielders yes the new future of football,
