I think a multiboard thread needs a little more work than this tbh
its not for us to say whether they should or not, but if an individual feels compelled to walk off the pitch then the authorities should support that action and take a firm stance against the fans responsible
Id be concerned it will be used as an excuse to walk off the pitch

Its hard to commend a player for doing that because of a minority what about the others? What i don't get is how the other fans (who must hear it) don't do anything.
OP, do you feel that this article is racist by singling out black players and suggesting they should react differently to other races, or indeed suggesting racism is only applicable to black players.
Point deduction should be given to the team whose fans chant racist songs etc. Players shouldn't walk off
What our the fans supposed to do?
Most boo it when they hear it.

in reality if other fans get involved with the racists its going to cause scenes like we saw at wembley at the weekend, its down to the stewards and the police to deal with the problem

What's to stop people going to games pretending to be fans of another team?
Also name calling why are people so bothered by it, if you can't ignore it more shame on you if someone shouted racist abuse at me hidden among a crowd in a stand i wouldn't give two flying f's especially if i was earning what footballers earn.

At a glance you have no commented on the site since Feb. The is not a snowballs chance in hell we would therefore multi-board a racism discussion article, that it is safe to say had almost no effort put into it and bring the excess moderation workload onto ourselves.

You'd have opposition fans pretending to be others for point deductions? they do it on JA606 for far less
Again, you can't punish the majority because of a minority.
Admin done dissed you OP.
What else could they do? Players should just ignore it
In my opinion, players walking off will just encourage the existing racist element. I think it sets a dangerous precedent and - whilst I can understand walk offs - I think the player should let his performance do the talking. Show weakness (because that is how walking off will be interpreted) and the idiot element will take it as a victory and thrive on it.
My view is that ALL players should walk off if anyone is racially abused from the stands.
There's no place for that sort of behaviour in football and "fans" that indulge in it need to be shown that it won't be tolerated.
The minority that indulge will soon find their behaviour policed by other fans when matches are disrupted and their team is affected directly
Hate the racist stereotyping going on in football these days, definitely think the black players affected should sprint off the pitch because they are really good at sprinting.
LOL at the moderators. I am doing this question for a class.
What say you OP to your thread?
The moderators don't want an article turning into a racism debate, and I know it is very unlikely that an article such as this one will turn into a debate about racism, but I just can't see them multiboarding it due to some of the people on here going off topic and bringing up racism.

Turnitin will catch you though..lol.
Let's be honest, the reason it happens is because too many of us are not willing to take a stand and do something about it. We accept that there is a small minority of fans that take part in racist abuse, and I accept that it takes a lot to stand up to them, but unfortunately we live in a society where a lot of people are wary to get involved. The 'majority' of fans could advise stewards / police, but fans tend not to bother. It's easy to talk about doing the right thing, but at the moment it's all words and little action.
If the majority of fans truely felt appalled and wanted to get rid of racist fans, then they could do so, but let's be honest, how many of us have heard something and actually reported it?
No, they should stay on the pitch. I don't for a second condone racism but, they should rise above it whilst on the pitch and get on with the game, be the bigger men. They can lodge complaints to the appropriate authorities afterwards, whether it be the club, the police or the FA.
To say the entire team should walk off is ridiculous, thousands of people pay their hard earned money to watch the game so why should it be ruined for them!?
It's just a small minority that are racially abusing players, the clubs should be banning those offenders for life. Eventually they'll be weened out and hopefully any racists left would learn to keep their mouths shut.
Point deduction should be given to the team whose fans chant racist songs etc.

I reckon we would only need ten of us to get together and we could get Liverpool relegated
