Ballague says United have paid a deposit or summat, so there's no way it's true
I heard the same rumours but I’d be surprised if they were to outlay that sort of money on a forward when they are well stoked in that area but seriously lacking in central midfield, I’d expect Fergie to spend most of his budget on a quality central midfield player. I’m not sure how easily they’ll offload Rooney if that is their intention, that said United have in the past got rid of players they no longer wanted fairly easily. I can see Rooney being harder after the contract changes a year or so ago.
Could anyone seriously imagine Rooney trying to play Barca's game? He'd stick out like a sore thumb
How so? They love to press and win the ball back from the front, so does Rooney, he's a good finisher and unselfish enough to know when someone is in a better position.
United like buying Wingers/Strikers and we like buying Advanced Midfielders.
Also rumours of Rooney going to Barca.

Didn´t realise they needed someone to clean the toilets at the Nou Camp

Have they offered you a job
I'd clean the Nou Camp toilets for £180k a week.
I bet Messi does little rabbit nuggets.

For £180k a week I´d probably clean them with my tongue
180k a week to clean toilet? I will quite school right now
I will quite school right now
with spelling like that i'd stay in school a while longer
Anyway back to the OP:
i very much doubt that a "deposit" has been put down as transfers don't work like that.
Anyhow, if it were true and they have already payed some of the fee then a contract would have to have been agreed with the player and they would be able to officially announce it
Bigger news is that Mourinho has just confimed he wont be at Real Madrid next season. Have you got him back at Chelsea?

You didn't spell anything wrong, no need to unravel
"Bigger news is that Mourinho has just confimed he wont be at Real Madrid next season. Have you got him back at Chelsea?"
No one seems to know but Jose, most of the recent gossip is that Roman is trying to attract Pelligrini instead
United with a new midfielder and a winger + a better Kagawa, who will surely improve, will scare me more than this. Sure, they'll have Falcao and RVP up top. But it's not as if you put the best strikers in the world up top and that's your team sorted.
