I haven't seen anyone want us to lose for rafa and if they do, then they aren't proper fans.
I doubt there is even one Liverpool fan who wants Liverpool to lose.
However there are many who are happy with progress and the potential to progress further. There's also many who aren't, who would rather we won a domestic trophy again, like last season.
I'm also guessing that there's many who want Rafa to do well and will feel sorry for him if he loses tomorrow and also some who don't care one bit. What I'm confident about is that there are none, who want Liverpool to lose, just so that Rafa wins. No man is bigger than the club.
1. Sod that i would take rafa over brenda everyday of the week twice on sunday. 4-1 At united 4-0 vs madrid 2-1 at barca what can brenda boast?
2.Bring rafa back and get rid of rogers every time that guy opens his trap he puts lfc down complete idiot.
These are articles from the Daily Mail which to me sounds like a large divide between the fans.
You have the same problems as my club who refers to jose with every poor results we get.
I think it is hard for any club to move on from the managers who provided them with sustain success.
I feel sorry for the poor sod who takes over the reins at Man U.
Any fan who wants Liverpool to lose a game isn't a real Liverpool fan, simple as that.
I hate fans that make comments like the ones you've listed. When Rafa beat teams such as madrid by score such as 4-1 he had a starting 11 that were title contenders and could match almost anyone. Rodgers on the other hand has inherited a team that are barely top four contenders.
Some of the Chelsea fans wanted Rafa to lose enough games for Roman to sack him.
I agree if you want your team to lose a game you are not a real fan.
Jonjo, did you stick to that quote when Hodgson was your manager.
I have no problem with fans reminiscing good times and wanting a successful manager back in the future but using another managers success to slate a new manager is something i don't think should ever be done.
I wanted Hodgson out because we played dull football, he made poor signings and we were near the bottom of the table with Hodgson even admitting we were in a relegation battle. I did want him out because of how successful another manager was.
*I didn't want him out because of how successful another manager was
There was a quote made by Rodgers I did not agree with.
Just look at Chelsea – they finished sixth last season and had a net spend of £71million last summer in order to try to get back into the top four.
He failed to mention we no longer have our Drogba, Essien or Kalou. We had to replace them.
Liverpool still have Gerrard and Suarez. Plus you have added more to your team with Rodgers buys.
Essien and kalou were hardly big losses as i may be mistaken but didn't they hardly play last season? Although i agree with what you say about replacements as people always seem to forget sold players when talking about a teams spend.
Kalou played in the Champions League Final and was replaced in the 84th minute.
Give him some credit.
Fair enough i didn't realise he played that much
The team had problems mainly down to injuries.
We did not get as much game time out of Drogba either.
you talk about replacing drogba which you didn't do last summer but you still spent 70m. you then let Lukaku go on loan and in January you let Sturridge leave even thou he scored the same amount of goals as drogba the previous season (from a wide position)
Yes but look at the money your club spent under Daglish. You did not make 4th spot.
You have forgot one factor in that - starting point.
