I see how you could arrive at that thought. It did flash through my mind briefly. After all, we all love a good conspiracy theory. But I don't think it is the case. Can't back it up because only one person knows, but just don't think so....

Why not just hand in a transfer request?

posted on 22/4/13

Suarez knows if he puts in a transfer request that he will get slated by the fans so you can see why it's lead to a conspiracy theory with the bite. Afterall the club and fans have backed him but no dount his agent would have had numerous calls saying X club can double your wages etc etc

But I dont think he is like that and is/was willing to give us another season.

No ploy or anything. At the end of the day, if he wants to leave he'd just make it very clear like Torres did. Heck, Torres bailed mid-way through a season!

no, i just think he belongs in a mental hospital

It wouldn't be a very clever tactic, since such craziness could put off potential bidders... unless the whole thing was planned in advance with Pep Guardiola, meeting at 2am in a Lidl car park in Birkenhead.

I was wondering the same thing. You have to question whether a player can really be THAT stupid or whether he has an agenda. There will be no shortage of takers for him, animal or not.

After Stevie G getting death-threats when rumours escalated of him having his head turned, I wouldn't blame a Suarez for trying to fashion a move this way.

Yes, he bit somebody to show that he wanted to leave. What a brilliant plan and definitely credible. My god there are some stupid people on this site.

Liverpool should sale Suarez and buy to strikers. I suggest Rick Lambert and Charlie Austin

i dont think it was done to force a transfer, footballers are not that clever, but i think he could use it now to see he needs to get away from english football.

sandrobeast - Not really IMO. He has done it before and has had some controversy almost everywhere he has gone

I dont think he was forcing a move or anything like that, he simply was frustrated for the whole game by Ivanovic and had a few swipes earlier if you saw MOTD.

Its a personality thing and it may well come from a place of passion and having a winners attitude etc but it needs managing

LFC are in a no win situation and that is suarez's 'fault' they have to do some damage limitation and without him they would really suffer IMO

In a weird sort of way the only winner here is suarez and a club of LFC size and reputation may want to consider that, no player should be bigger than a club

If he is engineering a move he's going about it in a completely nonsensical way.

Firstly it makes him look a liability. Secondly and more importantly, Liverpool would probably not get his true value in the transfer market at the moment. Why would we agree to sell in those circumstances?

The club will support him and get him a sport psycologist rather than get rid of their most valuable player for less than his footballing talent could command.

No, it didn't.

He actually submitted a transfer request, to Ajax, in January. Also that's a bit far-fetched I mean wanting to leave and submitting a transfer request, whatever next?

It's all part of his master plan. He's not a green as he looks is Suarez.
