A system set up for the likes of Utd,Madrid & Barca to progress against the pub teams of Europe in the group stages is distinctly unfair but it is what it is.
It hasn't stopped Dortmund progressing and if our coaching team had an ounce of nous between them we would've progressed last year and this.

PP not sure about last year but certainly we should have done better against Ajax. However when your in with 2 teams who make the semi finals against each other and with a more kindly draw may well have made the finals well its a bit difficult to say we should have gone further than we did.

We were pathetic in Amsterdam but thought we played well in Madrid. Just some things in a game you cant cater for and those goals were stopable only in hindsight, but then again that applies to all goals. Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and say yes that was a great goal.

We were poor this season, better the season before, but overall not good enough. If we want to progress we need to compete with the best. The draw will not be kind.

What a stupid article. Utd are in pot 3, meaning they avoid all the big teams. City are in pot 3, meaning they get 2 big teams. . Not particularly rocket science
