New Kit

Sure all white might be seen as boring in some quarters, but at least it's classy and acknowledges the clubs history and legacy (the only thing the club has left that can't be sold/we can take pride in)

These wacky macron designs on the home kit make us look like a gimmicky little league 2/conference team, but hey, if it turns out to be the 2014 promotion strip I won't give a tosh!

I like it, I dnt think we should have an all white kit until 2019, our centenery year.

Your centenary kit won't be white though will it? You only changed to white in the 60s. It'll more likely commemorate your first kit

I actually rather like it..

it is fookin' horrible

Loads of teams have changed their kits, you won't see them using their original kit colours for the centenary kit. Would be too close to Huddersfield kit.

They should do something different for the centenary year though, blue & yellow stripes would be acceptable.

For the centenary we should revert to pure white, it's what we're known for worldwide. Simple as that.

I like the new strip.

Horrible, I can't look at it.

We should have aplain white shirt now. Blue and yellow for centenary. The kit they have designed is terrible, and doesn't identify anything with leeds, its colours or history. I just want to see a ****ing plain white strip, how hard can that be?

Same kit as 92 for centenary

It's awful.

Are any of you whingeing about the kit going to be put off going to watch games because of it...?

Our club have brought out a new kit, you'd think they'd renamed the ground or something...!

I suppose some need something to moan about now Warnock and Bates are not exactly within range anymore.

What would it be if it wasn't the kit...?

Anyone not happy with the colour of the turnstiles or the colour of the urinals...?

Eric

The design of the kit is part of the identity of the club, as we've seen recently with Cardiff, owners recklessly throwing away a club's history is a dangerous precendent. Leeds United's kit should be all-white, that is what our modern identity was founded on. Such a shame that owners of clubs today have such a reckless disregard, and ignorance of the clubs they claim to own

Leedsforever ............. it didn't do Cardiff as a club any harm.

remind me, where will they be playing next season?

Personally I don't mind the design, but do understand the traditionalists who can't see past a white home shirt.

Doesn't change the identity of the club at all for me. I'm with Eric on this - just another excuse for complaints..................

As VOF says, the owners of Cardiff City have recklessly thrown out the club's history out by changing strips right into the premier league.

What did Revie do at Leeds by the way...?

I don't think it's their ignorance that is the problem.

Eric as I said, our MODERN INDENTITY was founded on. Cardiff had long history of playing in blue, they won the FA cup, Leeds had no history playing in blue and yellow, so Don Revie could change the kit with no one feel any emotional attachment to it. Leeds history was founded playing in all-white, I don't mind this for one season, but if it is the beggining of changes, we should be weary. A club's history is all it has, all powerful clubs gain their strength from their history. If Leeds had turned back on its histroy the club would have died out a long time ago

Loyaulte, I don't mind the odd addition of blue and yellow, but the big line down the middle really destroys the idea of being 'the whites', not only that it looks stupid

Some of us have been 'weary' all season...!

How long did Leeds United play in blue and yellow...?

I wonder if the fans that were about when Revie changed the strip thought it was silly...?

Weren't we actually called The Peacocks before we were The Whites...? I acknowledge there are white peacocks, but there are many that are predominantly blue...?

It's a kerfuffle isn't it...?

Eric,

you obviously still not registered the point I am making. Leeds was a completely different club before the change to all white, it was not the same profile or fanbase it got. The idea of Leeds United we know and support today was formed under Don Revie, so changing the strip from all-white should be considered herresy. There was no complaints when the strip was changed from blue and yellow, becuase there was barely any fans to complain

If it is just for one season I don't mind anyway

Our average attendance for two seasons only were below 20,000 these were 1960/1961 and 1961/1962

The five years before were in excess of 20,000 and afterwards two in excess of 20,000 then they picked up significantly when we became more successful.

Revie became manager in March 1961, his first full season was one of the lowest attended in our history 1961/1962.
