"People don't seem to understand that what papers print isn't always the truth."

"Also if RVP wanted cash, he'd have gone to City who would have paid him anything he wanted."

Ahem....

Meltonblue, so your club isn't backed by billionaires that will pay pretty much anything going ?

RVP himself said he was offered more money.

Apologies it was Fergie that said he turned down other clubs offering more money.

I find it amusing united fans taking morale high ground over a sick comment about a player getting injured after the applause and comments after Roy keanes pre meditated assault on Haaland.

These morals must be a new phenomenon amongst them.

Hoping a player gets injured or celebrating when it happens is pathetic.

VCD,

No one from any club has ever said what city offered. I'm not saying we didn't, just that you can say don't believe what the papers say, then do exactly that with a different club.

Can't say, that meant to say

Also, ferguson never said he turned down other clubs offering more money, he only said he turned down other clubs and that Juventus made a big offer, he never quantified any of it.

The only thing i dislike about Tevez is how he bad mouthed Utd and Fergie and the players after he left, and generally acted like a moron.

You can't say the same for RVP he has been very respectful of his old club.

Personally I think that Arsenal would have won something this season if RVP had stayed, maybe even the title. I say this because Arsenal's biggest problem this season has been the attack- not punishing teams and squandering chances. A world class striker (like RVP) would have solved this problem. All hypothetical now of course.

Ok mate, yeah you may have a point about RVP, but even if he had stayed i doubt very much you would of been up there for a title challenge, because over the season Arsenal have had issues in most area's not just up front

But if you look at the statistics, there's nothing between Arsenal and United defensively. With the signing of Cazorla and return from injury of Wilshere, Arsenal are also much stronger in midfield than they were last season. Admittedly GK has been a problem position, but I'd say that there and up front are the only areas where United are significantly stronger than Arsenal.

You're overrating our team. Utd are better than us in every position. Only Santi Cazorla would get into your team. Javier Hernández who is your 3rd choice striker is better than any of our Forwards.
