Scholes world class tackler.
I'd be ashamed of my son if he believed that lie of yours jlou. He should recognise that the best player in the league is Gareth Bale.
He recognises a cheat when he sees one, and isn't blind to it through support for a football team.
He's 9.
You should be ashamed of yourself for maybe being a grown up, and being blind to the truth.
A good father would educate his son about the difference between diving and anticipating contact. Show him clips of Suarez for the diving and then clips of the greatest player in the league for comparison.
Congrats to GB11... Well deserved
Need to sort out the young player of the year selection process though... Should be age restricted to 21 and under IMO
PS I suppose this adds another 10M to his value
Your son sounds like an idiot jlou
You sound like an idiot Edin

Adults calling 9 year old children names on the internet ?
Awful, truly awful.
Not as awful as ing at your own son's ability to be educated about football, jlou. That's very cruel. In time and if you explain it slowly and multiple times...

then presumably your son (and you) have lost all respect for Thierry Henry, who is a massive cheat?
Answer the question please...
Flashy your earlier comment was hilarious.
Anticipating contact. Classic.

Giving the award to a player with 5 yellow cards for diving in a calendar year is setting an awful example to the children.
The children will think its acceptable to dive, as it will ultimately win you accolades.
My 9 year old son asked me who had won just before he went to sleep, I told him Juan Mata had won, and not to have nightmares about players constantly cheating, and potentially ruining the game we both loved, as Juan was honest, and he had won, so football had been saved.
Thanks PFA for making me lie to my son
--------------------------
what utter Bullshiit, that story is such a lie!
Or... if on the odd chance it is true, your son is gonna be made to look a right kn0bhead when he turns up tomorrow banging on abnout Mata winning, only to be corrected by his class mates
My son doesn't know or care who Thierry Henry is or was.
It was all a ruse.
Little tip, if any of you have a 9 year old who gives a flying toss who won the PFA player of the year award, take them to see a doctor, as you may run the risk of them ending up like some of the humourless morons on this thread.
'Answer the question please', 'anticipate contact', fluck me.

perhaps you should enlighten him then about Henry's disgraceful antics against the Republic of Ireland, since you are such an advocate of fair play
tongue in cheek jlou. Like yours. Not as good, obviously, but then I don't have your famous scouse humour.

Fair play to you flashy, and well done to Gareth, worthy recipient of an award of somekind or other.
Thanks jlou. Gareth's commitment to fair play is my inspiration.
Bale is a month too young to win the YPOTY next season
That's ok doodoos. Ballon d'Or will be a decent substitute
