What a quality guy our chairman is. Apparently he was leaving the ground after the match on his way back to the airport to head back to Kuwait. He saw these guys at the Crusader pub, Clifton & got out & joined them. Even apologised for us not going up this year......
Oh right, I see you already wrote that...
nice guy..?
Yes, very. I met him at a pre-season game. very genuine, wanted to meet everyone & was very humble. was staring at the ground like it was Christmas come early for him. I really do believe him when he says he's a true Forest fan.......
Great stuff Been a few years since I drank there.

Did he buy them all a pint then?
"I really do believe him when he says he's a true Forest fan......."
Seems a curious thing to discover for the first time in his mid-forties, don't you think? What do you think brought it on?
We are "the" famous team?
Could of had Leeds.......... or Portsmouth just to name 2 but he chose the big one. .... a challenge and after the first season in charge you cannot moan.
Ok, the odd hic-cup with the managerial change but he is ambitious. Unlike your GSE friends. Were they there Saturday or did they go to the baseball?

Leeds turned Fawaz down, not the other way around.
And, FYI:
"You're not famous anymore!"

He was never interested in buying Leeds. The speculation about him buying Leeds was due to an interview where he stated that he was going to buy a championship club with a big history.
Obviously the deluded self proclaimed "Champions of Europe" presumed he was talking about their club, until they realised he could actually be talking about Forest.
Owd Vidal, loves making rubbish up.
The odd thing is he seems to think people will believe it.

Can you prove Fawaz wasn't turned down by Leeds, Webbo?
Thought not.

What makes you say I think that you will believe it? I don't expect you to for a second.
Didn't think you could

Could of had Leeds.......... or Portsmouth just to name 2 but he chose the big one.
So, he could of gone for them but he chose us. I don't say that he went to try and get them. I'm sure both would of been interested to hear what he had to say if he had been interested.
Any club in both of there positions and you can include Forest too, would listen to any takeover enquiry. He just got lucky and struck a deal to save us.
So did Fawaz turn them down or did you make it up?
Ken Bates would have sold to anyone who met his asking price. Leeds new owners are skint and looking to bring in investors.
I'm pretty sure that they will end up with wealthy Arab owners at some point.
"Can you prove Fawaz wasn't turned down by Leeds, Webbo?"
Prove he was then. Lying doesn't count as proof.
I didn't even say he was FAF
Vidal is just trying to deflect from his own club's failure this season.
Whilst our owner was enjoying being with the fans. I wonder if Derby's owner was mixing it in with his.
Probably back home watching baseball or reviewing all the freebies available this summer. [probably = not fact]
Vidal
Why would you bother writing stuff that people will look at and dismiss instantly as dross.
The idea is surley to make a point or wind people up. Obvious lies do neither.
Why "obvious lies" sutton? Obviously, I am not in the know any more than you are, but I genuinely heard a rumour that it was Leeds that did not want Fawaz. I don't know the reasons, and IF it is true I expect they are regretting it now.
I don't know why it would bother you anyway (and it clearly does btw!). Surely even the dimmest amongst you doesn't actually believe that Fawaz is a lifelong Forest fan FFS, any more than Derby's owners are Derby fans! Again, this doesn't matter as long as he gives you what you want for as long as you want. Why this need to project "fandom" on your owner?

We haven't "failed" this season at all. Mediocre in many ways, but 10th isn't failure, even it's below eighth. I've quite enjoyed our season, and I think we will improve next. I have no idea how it will pan out for Forest. If all keeps stable I would certainly expect a serious challenge for promotion and a finish above Derby, but it's a big if, as ever, as you well know.
That's what I think, sorry if you don't like it.
