:O
3rd consecutive new deal each year! If it has to be done it has to be done though
I honestly think we have a good chance of keeping him for at least 2 more years.
We'll make him the highest paid player at the club and in 2 years after he won us some silverware, we'll sell him for 80m
Metro not the most reliable source. lets wait and see, until it is made public
Be nice if that's true. Would be the best thing about this season.
one player wont win you silverware
suso, don't get jealous now mate. We all know you are praying for Bale to get sold. If this is true then excellent news.
what are you on about, im just saying having bale doesnt mean your going to win anything
Typical Mousers, they cant wait for us to sell Bale, that is why they love to lap up the inane mutterings of that plum Durham on Talkshyte.
i dont care if you sell bale or keep him, him alone wont make you win anything
Well yes because if we keep Bale, we will just improve meaning Liverpool will have no chance of making top 4 anytime soon. Your best bet is for Spurs to get weaker and by losing Bale we would get weaker.
Tbf hes just responding to spur the moments comment
top 4 isnt a trophy, you a arsenal fan or something?
Bale is a bit foolish if he stays at Spurs.
I'm sorry Spurs fans, I know you won't agree with that or like that obviously and I full understand why. If I supported Spurs I want him to stay as well, of course I would. And I like Spurs as a club. A LOT.
But he's now in his mid 20's. He's no kid anymore. Surely he wants to win titles and European trophies? Can he achieve that at Spurs? Not likely without a sugar daddy take over. Sad but true.
Only 3 clubs can win next season's PL title without any more billionaires joining the fold......United, City and Chelsea. Everyone knows this. Even Arsene knows it.
I think he'll leave this summer, personally. He's just FAR too good to be merely competing for top 4 positions. Most likely to Madrid rather than United or City but I think he simply has to test himself at the very top.
Stretford-he is developing into one of the best players in the world at Spurs. There is no rush for him to leave. Wherever he moves to it will take time to adjust.
Look at RVP, he needed many years to develop at Arsenal before getting his big move. When Bale is 25/6 he will need to move but not yet.
He should look at Modric/Berba's moves to see the grass isn't always greener.
Wait, didn't he sign a massive five year deal last summer?
He's 24 soon. Footballer's careers don't last forever, unless you're named Ryan Giggs.
Every year he stays at Spurs.....there goes a season he misses out on titles. And every player wants to win trophies, especially ones as good as him.
It's hard to accept I realise but ask yourself honestly......are you going to win anything better than possibly the FA cup in next few years? Not likely.
Not sure what else he can achieve at Spurs now.

I wonder if any new deal would include a buy out clause.

Madrid more than likely.
It would be hard to sell him to us as good as he'd be for United. I totally understand that.
But Bale will develop into a better player at Spurs where he is the main man. If he goes to Madrid he would just be another star. Man U would probably suit him better, but I doubt we would sell to them.
It's not all about trophies. Shearer and Le Tissier are always remembered as superb players. Just because john o'shea has won however many medals, we still realise he is carp.
If Bale moved in a couple of years to Madrid/Munich then he would get plenty of trophies too. There is no rush to move, as I cited look at Berba and Modric, their careers have gone backwards since leaving.
